The treatment Scooter have had from Radio 1 is shocking. They're treating Scooter similar to how they treated the Sex Pistols back in the 70's.

Then I am glad I never listen to radio 1 - but very very sad they they feel they can impose what is some kind of music censorship based on their views, and not actually respect the views of the public

My son who has been a fan for a long time feels almost ashamed to admit it because of fear of being labeled a chav because of these sort of opinions :( (I am old enough not to care  )

but I do hate it when anyone in a position of influence tries to make others (especially young people who care so much about what their peers think) conform to what they want - particularly with something such as music which is after all purely for pleasure and enjoyment - why should anyone try to force their own pre-conceived ideas of what is good on others? why don't we in the UK just accept that not everyone likes the same music and respect that?

why does anyone think that a type of music they like is superior to others???? The fact that this album got to Number 1 without airplay, or reviews in the press shows that there are actually quite a lot of people who don't conform to radio 1's view of what we should buy and have bought an album they actually enjoy - but why should we be made to feel guilty about it?

i really hate it when people call dance music council house music because that just stereotypes people. from my understanding they would prefer to listen to hip-hop/garage.

isn't it funny how whenever people on the radio 1 forum slag of scooter fans it always has to resort to racism and stereotypes about people's background, never about the music.

scooter got to #1 without the press because they are a good band. personally i think they should never do another show in london because that's where all the bad press is coming from. everyone in london think's their type of music has to come from america to be cool. well, not me!

I'm happy being different, and no big shot radio presenter will change my opinion on that. For all i care, scooter can never be played again on radio 1 because it will show how petty they are. thay advertise they all like dance but when you listen to it it's blatantly not- just garage!

Look at the way HP dresses, not how a chav would dress. Pathetic radio 1 propaganda!

that's true- i don't like they way they are openly mocking people about what they like and making jokes about their lives. that can just cause bullying in schools and can make people, especially kids, very upset.

Yes - because younger people want to conform to what they feel others expect

Radio 1 are very shocking - the DJs should be ashamed of themselves.

exactly- i work in a school sometimes just to give a hand when the teachers need it and i see it all the time. kids who are into different music, kids who are black, asian, gay, bi, tall, short- all being bullied over pointless things. Just because people are considered popular it doesn't always mean you should follow their example.

As I said the other day, Radio 1 are like the playground bully getting into a strop and shouting insults because the masses have disobeyed them this week by buying the wrong album!

An the majority of the masses will unfortunalty conform, or enjoy it in secret because they are afraid of seeming not to fit in :?

Unfortunately, the days of the BBC being an impartial public servant are long gone ... not just about Scooter but many other things too :(

I don't ever listen to that radio station - I haven't really ever listened to it. I'm more likely to listen to Sunshine Live on the internet than Radio 1.

Not really! :?

Have you got DAB? There's Galaxy at a push (although it has advertising). But really there's few radio stations in the UK that cater properly for dance music. Best get onto the INternet, where there is much more choice, of which Sunshine Live is the most mainstream - it might be in German but there's plenty of music and some good programmes.
