i'm not the greatest fan of pendulum but they have a few good tracks on the new album. for me personally, if scooter can get a second week in the top 5 it would be great, if not top 10.

I agree - well aboiut the Scooter bit (not being really knowing pendulum can't comment on that) - a couple of weeks ago top 20 looked great - but last week the record buying public finally rebelled against the popular radio stations and about an album they actually liked to listen to - and all thanks to AATW for airing that wonderful 1 minute ad that allowed people to know this album existed - because of without that I suspect, as in the past, so many people who like this music would not have known of its existance :?

i have to admit, without the add from AATW it wouldn't have got into the top 40, but we can't put the success down to that. people bought the album because they wanted to.

Advertising informs people the album is out there to buy, but they will only buy it if they want to. I guess all the advertising the album got only replaces the damage caused by the radio stations ignoring the release, not getting reviews in the national press etc. Didn't give Scooter an unfair advantage on all the other albums in the charts, for sure!

Yes - I agree - but they could only know that they wanted to buy it if they knew it existed .....

Its difficult - I just think back to when I discovered Scooter - it was beacuse of TLS - but after knowing they were out there I discovered all the previous wonderful albums and singles they had released - if TLS had not somehow been a hit here I would never have heard of Scooter - never discovered the music I love so much and that makes me so happy - i would have missed out on so much - just because I did not know about it.

I hope the AATW ad, and the sucess of this album will allow others to find the pleasure in knowing this music that I have :)

..and no - advertising did not give Scooter an advantage - it just gave them a chance - for people to know about them. An ad won't make anyone buy something - but at least it gives a choice

Weds Midweeks

Quoted

Albums
1. Neil Diamond 16.8k
2. Pendulum 15k
3. Scooter 12k
4. Madonna 10.2k
5. Duffy 10.1k (only 23 copies behind Madonna)

Mean that JAOTW has now sold nearly 50,000 copies.

Good to see they are pulling away from Madonna again. At least third is looking pretty likely. 8)

WOW - that's very promising if JAOTW has reached the charts on downloads only!! :D

Everyone here is obviously going Scooter crazy!! Oi oi! 8)

Pendulum are on tour at the moment, so more people will of course be buying their tracks at the current time. As for Neil Diamond, crikey....he on a comeback, must be short of a few £s!
