Ah, and more good news, of sorts, I have discovered Zavvi have stopped selling new singles as of 31 March 2008 ... so at least that explains the lack of TQIWITQ.

But probably marks another nail in the coffin of the UK single generally though. :?

Singles here in the UK have been on the decline for quite some time now......many shops have followed suit by dramatically reducing the amount they sell (if this is any at all!). Alot of the charts now rely on the download world & the top 40 chart also is no where near as big as it was a few years back. Everyone used to know what the top 10 where, but this isn't emphasized half as much as it used to be (possibly due to tv & radio stations dropping the shows that used to be played on a Sunday).

Guess we'll just have to see the week out on this one & of course look at the competition that this single is competing with.

well it is the same here in germany but maybe not that radical.
and i guess it is the same in france, the netherlands etc. the media "cd" is dying.

Yes it is the same problem in France, I heard some months ago that they sold in the last years 50% less CDs...
One of the biggest problems is that CDs are really expensive ! If you want only the music, and not the artwork, covers..., it doesn't worth to buy a CD, you rather buy a digital album...

Even Amazon.co.uk did not have it in stock for dispatch today :(

Mine was dispatched yesterday, so they had it in stock, it has become even cheaper, now 2,98 Pounds, so Amazon gave me even a bit of the money back :P

Amazon.co.uk Sales Rank:
Popular in this category:
#38 in Music > CD Single

I think that's not too bad, because mostly in Germany Amazon chart positions are much lower than the actuel sales chart positions in the German Salescharts.

Cd albums don't do to bad in comparison to the singles....i mean it's quite a shock if you find somewhere that stocks the latest top 20 singles nowadays. The cost of the albums are also coming down too, think they're trying to keep around a reasonable price with the competition from download market.

There's some cd's that i actually like to buy, to keep (i do this with my Clubland collection & Scooter stuff that i manage to get my hands on!) .....plus it feels like you can actually look at something for your money. Which is the total opposite with downloads, but agree the saving with them is worthwhile.

Strange, because on Amazon.co.uk it's doing quite well, and in Germany mostly Amazon.de positions are much lower than the actual chart positions, so I thought it was the same case with Amazon.co.uk chartpositions :?

Im not sure if downloads have been added to the midweeks yet, but TQIWITQ is currently no 13 in the UK dance chart - so it is going the right way.

I suppose another problem is that the track was widely available on itunes and other download sites for months, before they were all pulled shortly before AATW decided to release it in the UK. It's difficult to know how many fans downloaded it ages ago and who won't therefore buy the UK version. :?

Not in Top 75 though, I just can't believe it will still be like that on Sunday. :o
