My first car was a Rover 200 TDic from 1998, I still have it (317.000KM), but bought a new car 2 year's ago, the MG ZR 115 IDT MKII :wink:

yep, it's my first, been driving for just over a year now, loving every minute.

1.8??? LUSH!!! i have a 1.2 16V comfort version and it's okay but i'm confident enough to get a bigger engine now.

Cheers. Had the plates nearly 3 yrs now, # is blanked off for discretion (was a joint b/day pressie including a contribution from myself, ha ha!) Drives like a dream, plus had the XP kit fitted from standard so everything is 100% vauxhall genuine too & just the way i like it

I can imagine all that 1200cc power :lol: , gotta start somewhere with the 1st car (even tho this is only my 2nd!). Everything is just so pricey when it comes to cars, but worth it.

Well it's a Diesel and it has always been maintanenced very well, so that's probably why it still drives great. It's still very quick, on the highway, a BMW 320d has problems getting away from me :wink:

from what i've heard BMW isn't very reliable, corresct me if i'm wrong :?

mine's done about 60 000 miles. i did my first big journey the other day, Gloucester to Cardiff and back lol- damn motorway driving is BORING :z

because i live in the cotswolds (a nice bit of countryside) there are lots of winding roads. i prefer those to straight roads. putting your skills to the test. city driving is also great when there aren't any speed cameras.

Yep, must admit it's worth keeping a car maintained if you're intending on keeping it a while...plus keeps up the value.

The Megane Sport, not too much then! :lol: Think you're insurance would fly through the roof, well that's if you managed to get any...stinks how that works out. My b/f's 1st car cost less than his insurance! :roll:

Yeah, think i need to get myself to Germany just to drive on the autobahn....actually get the chance to test my car without the police breathing down my neck!

Insurance: ouch! My dad's a 'Big-wig' at Tesco so I got a bit of money off. In my first year it was £880 and now after 1 year it's gone down to £500 with the top-graded vehicle recovery service from GreenFlag. Yet if I was female it would cost me half that, what's up with that.

Think you have the crazy young lads who love to crash to blame the insurance costs on (well, that's what the experts seem to say about that situation) & i've seen too many of them involved in accidents near me in the past years. :roll:

£880 ain't too bad really, especially for your first year. I know that my first premium was in the £800 region, though that was with a X reg 1.4 306 (so been female obviously helped on the cost on that). Am due to re-new in a couple of months, £250 fully comp-wahay! (although adding the fella costs a tad extra, which he pays as i bring his down by £60-£70).

Well I now pay for my MG ZR for the All-Risk around 1000 Euro's insurance, but when I just got the drivers licence I had to pay for All-Risk 4000 Euro's :shock: so I insured it only at the minimum that was needed, but still had to pay around 2000 Euro's. They said I was too young with a too powerfull car (a 105 Hp Rover 200 TDiC :roll: ) and the 'new showroom value' of my Rover was high, but I bought it second hand when it was 2 year's old for half the price, but still they looked at the new price. :roll:

I think FWD is just as good as RWD. And since there has not been an RWD Volvo since 1998...

Mine is a 523i from 1996 (E39) with 170 hp. That's a lot compared to my previous (and first) car, a Seat Ibiza with 60 hp :oops: An M3, M5 or M6 would be niiiiiiice to have. Or 850i, 760i, hell, any model with the V8.

Well, I guess FWD and RWD are not that different. Except with RWDs you can have more fun, espescially in the winter :wink: Or if it's powerfull enough, in the summer too. You know, drifting and stuff.

Insurance companies sure know how to get the most outta us, especially when it comes to the £££/€€€s! :roll:

RWD cars, never had the opportunity to drive one myself. My Dad used to work at bmw & drove the full range going, though told me they're not too great in the snow.

I've had Voyager for 7 years, I'm selling it for six months already, but I have a very high price waiting for someone naive enough to buy it, there's no need to sell it quickly.
