I'm afraid the time has come...

2008. A new year, a new direction in my life. Over the last five or six years, a lot of things have happened in my life, especially revolving around Scooter and their official forum. I have learnt vast amounts of information, from how to post on a forum to how to manage an event, and all of it comes back to the URL address http://www.scootertechno.com/forum

Starting at this forum, I found many new friends to communicate with, at both professional and personal sides of the fine line that distributes us as people in the music industry. Following trends, I learnt that living my own life was more important than anything else, and slowly began to convert from "Scooter-Posse" to up-and-coming professional DJ, producer, promoter and further into management studies. As my life begins to make a new move in a fresh direction, I follow to find new and exciting career ambitions. I recognize the places I have been in the past, which always contribute to making us who we are. We never forget our past, because our past makes our life.

Therefore, as of 20/01/2008 I am officially leaving the Scootertechno forum in order to pursue my own ambitions and dreams elsewhere. Now that I work in the industry, I feel that it is important to separate from the "fan" status I slightly continue to hold, and that it is a time to move on personally, in order to be professional.

I thank you all for your support, your courage, your friendship and your love throughout the time I have served at this forum. Trust me when I say - I will never forget any of you. No matter who you are, what you have done or said at this forum, you are Scooter-Posse, and you all contribute to the success I look forward to exploring in the future.

Peace and love to every single one of you,

~Shane / 3PM

Can't you pursue your own ambitions and dreams and still be sometimes on this forum ?? You are a fan of Scooter and even if you work in the industry you can for sure find the time to look by sometimes I think, just for relaxation ???? I don't see what the two thing's have in common, but it's your descision, but I would rather stay on the forum if I were you.
The forum is a place for people that like Scooter, and so do you, so why quit looking by here, I really don't see the point. :?
But good luck to you anyway, have much succes in the future !

   :( :(

Shane - I agree with Scooterworld - even if you can't visit as much, don't just leave - just drop by when you can - please :)

You have a lot of friends here, and we don't want you to leave - not completely :(

Of course I wish you a lot of luck and success in your future, but I don't want to lose touch with you :)

I think you can still be a member and work in the industry - maybe just post in a sensible way. I am sure just about every one in the industry - from the top to the bottom is a fan of someone else in some way. I think the way you behave is rather more important than who you associate with :)

But one thing I ask you to remember throughtout your life / career - fans are no less important than people in the industry - we are all human beings carryout a job - be it in music, IT or anything else - at the end of the day we are all equal. I hold a very senior positon in my job - but if ever the day came that I thought I had to seperate myself from any human on earth because of it I would seriously question the reasons. I see myself as no different to the "most important" or the most lowly human on the earth :)

I“ve been sad once before when a member was leaving. That was Mir. All the others leave by their own opinion, wich is perfectly fine. I“ve been on and off here for a long time, but I just won“t delete my account. There is only one Posse the Daredevil.

i am reading this and i am new member it is as they say alway as one thing is dying another is born. I am not thinking that this is insult or arrogance or dissin anyone indeed he pays much praise to all for your friendship . 3pm says he owes much to scooter and forum but it is a hard business to be dj and not easy to be seen to be in one fan base. it is most tough thing and to be making own identity is importance.

I read it as he has great fondness for most people let us just wish him best and there is always myspace to stay together

let us just say 3pm good luck when you are superstar dj posse all want pass and champagne in vip :-)remember as you are so correct to say no one is better than other ;-)

wise words Scooter Mistress :)

I think we all are in agreement in wishing Shane well :) - we just don't want to loose him :(

I am also more than a little hurt, that after so long Shane no longer wishes to publicly be associated with me because I am a Scooter fan - makes it sound like something to be ashamed of. We are as wide and diverse as any group of people you could ever meet.

I wish you success - but most of all happiness, be careful not to pursue one at the expense of the other :)

I haven't spoken much to Shane, but I had a high opinion of him and thought him to be an interesting and thoughtful person. Now, I am not so sure. Mr Rodriguez quite rightly said it's not a job to visit a forum. If you can't come online much anymore, that's a shame for you because you'll be missing out on the forum experience. And losing you as a member will be a loss for this community, but a community we are and we'll move on. A member doesn't make a community, though from reading the original post in this thread, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you, Shane, were a crucial part of this place.

I don't want to sound nasty or mean, far from it. I hope you have great success, fulfill all your dreams and make it in the music industry. I expect to see you release something in the UK! :D But an important part of being successful is the fan base, you can't achieve any success without the support and you'll do well to respect that though you may be the man producing the music for the fans to listen to, they are the ones listening to it and paying for it. Being a fan of Scooter is actually an advantage to you, you know what fans are like, and more importantly, you know what fans like from the group they support. Use that as an advantage to you. Quite why you wish to "seperate" yourself is beyond me, to be honest.

Good luck, keep in touch. 8)
