FL Studio 7 question

Hey dudes I'm having something strange at the moment with my FL Studio 7 when using some VEC2 samples. I drag a clap in a channel, and when played in that channel it sounds a whole lot different than it should be.

wtf is wrong here?

Some samples have this problem, some not.
I just installed fl 7 clean so I didn't really edit the sound options or something...

I have had this problem too, but with different samples. :? Usually the problem goes off when I change the samples and put the sample I wanted again on that channel. :) Hope you solve the problem.

I know this problem! I don't have not install FL Studio on this PC, but his something to do with the stretch. I had that sometimes too, especially with the VEC1 Claps. I will watch, how the configuration was called.

It's caused by the time-stretch engine. Some meta-data in the wave file tells the program to stretch the sample to one certain time value, so it stretches it automatically. Just set the TIME knob to zero, and it will be alright.

My suggestion: right click the waveform of the sample and choose EDIT, then set a full-length loop by dragging the start/end lines. Then save the wave file, overwriting the former. Of course you can turn off looping in the channel properties if you don't need it. This usually solves the problem permanently.
