Okay, just to ask a question here -
If TQIWITQ was a chart success, do you think that this entire album was recorded as a response? For a band that's made 12 albums so far, certainly they have enough studio experience to be able to make tracks quickly. Single 2, "And No Matches" is more or less the same exact song as "The Question...", many of the tunes are covers, and they could have had some of the melodies or rips lying around from previous sessions. If a band could record an album in the span of 2 weeks it would be Scooter! And besides, did anyone know this was coming even a month ago? Just wondering could it be possible?

SCOOTER IS THE
i agree with almost everytrhing you say, but i dont agree that 3rd chapter has soemthing common with 4th chapter and 3rd chapter singles are bad. they are great!

I am very tired, so I'm sure a few mistakes will sneak in somewhere. Try to overlook them. (I'll look at it again tomorrow and edit in case I've made some major blunders.)
The Defintion - Not much to say. Quite boring, but since it's a jumpstyle-album it's somewhat clever. Still, I don't like it.
Jumping all over the World - It starts out fantastic (not counting the intro). The first 6 seconds of JAOTW are great. H.P is sounding angry and quite energetic, spitting out the lyrics, everything is as it should be. Then the bass hits, and everything is still fine. 21 seconds in however, comes that f##k happy melody. By the time the first HPV-chorus hits, 39 seconds in, they lost me completely. That HPV is torturing me for 53 seconds. After that, it's a lost cause. Very repetive as well.
The simple, three lines of lyrics doesn't help either.
The ? is what is the ? - I won't even bother to say anything about this piece of S##t. f##k. This is really as low as Scooter can get. If I could, I would go back in time to erase this useless excuse of music from my mind. Damnit. I did bother to say something.
Enola Gay - Annoying clapping, annoying vocal-part. It just drags along, it never goes anywhere. A weak, boring, happy melody. The entire song is anti-climatic, since it doesn't build up to anything. It's just there. And I don't like the melody. Would fit great in the next "My Little Pony"-movie though.
Neverending Story - I don't see the greatness in this song.
H.P sounds bored (compare it to the way he sounds in JAOTW), and uninspired. Again that awful clapping, and random lyrics. A good chorus could have saved it I guess, but everything just stops and from nowhere comes this annoying HPV, and just as in JAOTW the HPV-part goes on for too long. This is really Scooter according to the 3rd and 4th-chapter single formula, which is not intended as a compliment, since I honestly think the singles from this period are some of the worst they've ever produced. And it's not even good HPV, it's just weak and when it starts for the third time, I start looking for the power-button on my speakers.
This is just the reason I don't like the new material, everything is so damn predictable. Try something new, sil vous plait!
And No Matches - Better than the ?, but that doesn't say much. The refrain is actually quite catchy, although I hate it it sticks in my head. But I didn't like Big, big world (and believe me, being from Sweden, I had to listen to that song more than I wanted. Impossible to avoid.), and I don't like this one. The melody during H.P's part is quite good though, but this is also predictable and dull. H.P, HPV, H.P, HPV, a "funny" quote, HPV, the end.
Cambodia - Since I generally don't listen to electronic music I've never heard the original, as far as I know. Still, I do recognize the melody from somewhere, I just can't place it. Not as bad as some peple think (but then again, as I said, I've never heard the original), but the clapping is starting to get really annoying. Impossible to filter out too, it's almost the only thing I hear. An average instrumental.
I'm Lonely - Again, the same thing. H.P, HPV, H.P, HPV, bleh, bleh, bleh.
The HPV is just as bad as in NS, and goes on for too long. And again, clapping (I won't mention the clapping again, but I hate it in the rest of the songs too).
Hello Scooter. I have a question. Did all your equpment burn down midway through this album? Was the clapping the only sound you were able to use
Best wishes

(Alright I did mention it again. Not anymore though, I promise)
One thing that really bugs me, is that not a single song has a really climatic ending, or middle, or a climatic part at all. There is not a single moment where everything explodes into.. Awesomness. Not in any song so far. Weird.
Whistling Dave - Heh.. I kinda like these kinds of melodies (Commodore 64, NES, SNES, etc.) so it's not a total failure to my ears. Still, the whistling isn't very convincing, and in between the videogame-sound it's quite boring. Same melody, but not as interesting. The "Game Over" at the end is a nice touch. I'd rather play Tetris myself, than listen to this. And I hate that game. Stupid f##k blocks, gave me a damn trauma in my early years. All in all, I would say this is below average since it's such a small part of it that I "enjoy".
Marian (Version) - I've seen some of you say that this reminds you of Rammstein. I do not think so. It's nice that they try something new, really, but the result isn't quite as nice. H.P isn't a very good singer, and some words really sound weird. No HPV, atleast, which is a good thing. If you had some f##k balls, guys, you'd release this as the third single.
One of the best on the album (which isn't saying too much), but there is still room for improvement. Nice change from the usual vocoder atleast, I hope they do something like this though even darker on the next album (perhaps with own lyrics?!?!). Would be interesting.
Lighten Up the Sky - Nearing the end, and as usual it ends with instrumental(s). The beginning sounds like Bramfeld (I think it's called, damn I am so tired now. Wall of text!), but not quite as good. Atleast it doesn't follow in the exact same steps as the earlier tracks on the album. It's a small change, but a change nevertheless. Goes on a little too long before the melody hits though, without an apparent reason. They could have cut off almost a minute, and noone would notice. (Oh, I really want to mention the clapping again..) Melody is so-so, nothing special, but tolerable. Might be the best instrumental on the album, but I am not entirely convinced by it.
The Hardcore Massive - Oh boy. When I heard the samples I got some hopes for this song. The beginning isn't too good, and just as in the previous song it goes on for a just a little too long. No variety. 2 minutes of repetiveness that isn't really needed. But then.. "Hardcore Massive..." and finally! 2 minutes in, in the last song on the album, I find something I really like. I've seen some say the melody is too random, childish and whatever, but I really dig it. In fact, it's probably my most played track so far. Scratch what I said above, this is the instrumental of the album. I am even willing to overlook the clapping (Fine! I said it again) and the beginning, because I really like that melody. Full volume, wake some neighbours and have a vodka shot. It gets me in a good mood! And I don't even care that it is kinda childish (sounds like a merry-go-round kind of thing), it makes me forget that I've been almost forcing myself through 11 tracks before it, if only for a short moment. Though when I think about it, it might the joy of reaching the end that makes it good. For example, if this melody would have been on BTTHWJ, I would perhaps not even have thought it worth mentioning. But right now, I'm judging it compared to the rest of the album, and that is an entirely different matter.
The Greatest Difficulty - Yeah.. The end is here. Finally. Eject.
So, the conclusion (if anyone even bothered to read through it all, which I doubt. Lazy f##k)?
Well, it has one thing which MTG, WGTLLN and TUAO are lacking. A theme. It does sound like a album, which can't be said about the three mentioned albums. Still, I am kinda torn. I strongly dislike this jumpstyle-nonsense, and most of the songs are way too predictable. And happy. Why does every song have to be so damn happy (Marian excepted)? I want a dark album. Dark! Make it happen.
Is it better than TUAO? Well, I have on numerous occasions referred to TUAO as human waste on a plastic disc (which is of course a slight exaggeration), and I wouldn't go quite so far with JAOTW. However, it's a very tight race, but right now I think JAOTW is the winner, by a nose (or album) length. But it is really, really predictable.
Expect the unexpected? HA!
Next time, though, do something to surprise me. Anything. Please?
Review brought to you by the always cheerful and positive ttk.

Why do you ask if I'm french? That's almost an insult!
On the contrary, I have positive feelings almost all the time. If I were to review some of the older albums you would see how positive I can be. Perhaps I should create a "ttk reviews Scooters history"-topic. Hm.. I guess noone would read it, but it could be fun to write.
