I don't get some of you.
You almost trash a song and then give it 7 or 8/10. What the hell is up with that?
My review will bring sweet justice.

I thought the same, if you trash a song you can give it not higher as a 5 I think. If I would trash a song I would certainly not give it a 7, because that differs with your opinion. A 7 isn't a bad note

1 The Definition - 10/10 Awesome Vocals, Nice melody and much variety.
2 JAOTW - 8/10 not much variety but on the other hand nothing stupid added and even HPs Vocals are good on this track.
3 TQIWITQ - 2/10 Never Liked it and i won't ever do it.
4 Enola Gay - 7/10
5 Neverending Story - 8/10 Scooter! Fresh and funky! The prototype of a good Scooter track
6 And No Matches - 3/10 The track isn't bad but HP ruins it with his Tarzan scream and his intelligent quotations.
7 Cambodia - 9/10 Hard like Hardy Hard. I like it.
8 I'm Lonely - 8/10 Scooter! Fresh and funky! The prototype of a good Scooter track
9 Whistling Dave - 10/10 Tetris rules!
10 Marian (Version) - 8/10 Nice one even if HPs voice is not the best on some parts.
11 Lighten Up The Sky 7/10 Nice Essential Club Sounds collection. When i try the samples from that CD it sounds the same like the beginning of this track. The beat/bass should be more harmonic to the 202 melody but i think that's the hardstyle way. Anyway something new and pretty hard.
12 The Hardcore Massive 9/10 BASS all over my Stereo. Nice one, i like it more harmonic but this hardstyle is also not bad.
13 The Greatest Difficulty 10/10 Musically genious! This has to be a Single!

My review :

Intro : 5/10 Not bad but soooooooooo long ! :o Oh, only 1min25 ?
JAOTW : 8/10 Great track but hpv is a bit long, must be really good during the tour :D
TQIWITQ : 7/10 In the beginning I didn't like this song but after hearing a couple of times, it has a good vibe
Enola Gay : 7/10 Good song without these stupid jumpstyle claps :? Especially for the best moment of the original one (the synth @ 3min), claps destroy it
Neverending Story : 7/10 Once again good track but damn, I hate these claps !!!
ANM : 6/10 The contrary to TQIWITQ, the more I listen, the less I like it, HPV is so stupid & childish.... :? But the rest is very good, so sad !
Cambodia : 7/10 Good track again but is it a Scooter song ? Looks more like a remix of Vorwerk's song, no Scooter touch
I'm Lonely : 8/10 I like very much the HPV this time but Refresh - A step too far part is a bit too weak and don't really fit to the rest of the song and after half of the track it's just like a copy-cut of the first half...
Whistling Dave : 6/10 Tetris theme is funny, but a full Scooter song with this tune and with Jumpstyle claps, it's too much !
Marian (version) : 7/10 Good song one more time, I like HP's voice, it's so dark lol ! But a little bit boring...
Lighten Up The Sky : 8/10 Great instrumental track, but after so much claps, I can't bear them anymore, otherwise 9 or 10 for this song
The Hardcore Massive : 4/10 Don't like this song, I feel really nothing when I'm listening to, same as Lass Uns Tanzen
The Greatest Difficulty : 8/10 Great, only 30 sec this time ! Why on earth Intro doesn't last only 30 sec too ? :D

Finally, album deserves for me 7/10, nearly all tracks have a good potential but Jumpstyle claps destroy some songs and I miss real Scooter sound and feeling...
It's the first Scooter album where I don't really find a track that I hear again and again and again...

Okay, just to ask a question here -

If TQIWITQ was a chart success, do you think that this entire album was recorded as a response? For a band that's made 12 albums so far, certainly they have enough studio experience to be able to make tracks quickly. Single 2, "And No Matches" is more or less the same exact song as "The Question...", many of the tunes are covers, and they could have had some of the melodies or rips lying around from previous sessions. If a band could record an album in the span of 2 weeks it would be Scooter! And besides, did anyone know this was coming even a month ago? Just wondering could it be possible?

I would say yes : Scooter are making music for several years now.
All the songs of the new album have a lot of similar parts (beat, fx), the melo are quite simple AND almost 100% of the album is not orignial so for me, it has been make in 1-2 months max.
TUAO which is an average/good album was made in 3 months. This new one is more basic. Very sad thing.

Sorry, but the last two albums and the first ones (TUAO+JATOW, OHH+ATBGO) are the best they have ever done in my opinion!

Only a short review:

Intro: The end is very funny "...rick, michaelk and the chicks terminator". The Idea of such an Intro is unusal but not wrong

Jumping All Over The World: Well When listening to the smaples I was more amazed than today when listening it in the whole length. But it is still a very great Track I like a lot. But when listening to it on a live gig it will be AWESOME! This is a real Live Track, only Awesome when performed live! When they are performing this at the concert I will go crazy.

Enola Gay: Great Instrumental, a littlke bit boring but a beautiful melody

Neverending Story: Mhhh, I do not know what to think about. On one site I love it and on the other site its an normal track, nothing special.

Cambodia: Great Instrumental, makes me happy when listen to it.

I'm lonely: For me it is hard to like it because the first part of the HPV does not fit into this song but the second part of the HPV (when singing high and loud is unbelievable beautiful.

Whstling Dave: I like it, thats it!

Marian: I do not like when H.P. is singing with such a dark voice but it has something special, something of a spirit.

Lighten Up The Sky: AWESOME INSTRUMETAL!!! All the sound and the amazing hard Basedrum ass well as the changing from one melody to a totally other melody is just awesome. I Love It! One of the best Instrumentals of Scooter!!

Hardcore Massive: Also a very good instrumental. A hard bassdrum and the melody makes me like it

All in all it is an incredible Album I like a lot. It is positioned in my Top 4 Scooter Abums. Good work guys.

I am very tired, so I'm sure a few mistakes will sneak in somewhere. Try to overlook them. (I'll look at it again tomorrow and edit in case I've made some major blunders.)

The Defintion - Not much to say. Quite boring, but since it's a jumpstyle-album it's somewhat clever. Still, I don't like it.

Jumping all over the World - It starts out fantastic (not counting the intro). The first 6 seconds of JAOTW are great. H.P is sounding angry and quite energetic, spitting out the lyrics, everything is as it should be. Then the bass hits, and everything is still fine. 21 seconds in however, comes that f##k happy melody. By the time the first HPV-chorus hits, 39 seconds in, they lost me completely. That HPV is torturing me for 53 seconds. After that, it's a lost cause. Very repetive as well.
The simple, three lines of lyrics doesn't help either.

The ? is what is the ? - I won't even bother to say anything about this piece of shit. Fuck. This is really as low as Scooter can get. If I could, I would go back in time to erase this useless excuse of music from my mind. Damnit. I did bother to say something.

Enola Gay - Annoying clapping, annoying vocal-part. It just drags along, it never goes anywhere. A weak, boring, happy melody. The entire song is anti-climatic, since it doesn't build up to anything. It's just there. And I don't like the melody. Would fit great in the next "My Little Pony"-movie though.

Neverending Story - I don't see the greatness in this song.
H.P sounds bored (compare it to the way he sounds in JAOTW), and uninspired. Again that awful clapping, and random lyrics. A good chorus could have saved it I guess, but everything just stops and from nowhere comes this annoying HPV, and just as in JAOTW the HPV-part goes on for too long. This is really Scooter according to the 3rd and 4th-chapter single formula, which is not intended as a compliment, since I honestly think the singles from this period are some of the worst they've ever produced. And it's not even good HPV, it's just weak and when it starts for the third time, I start looking for the power-button on my speakers.
This is just the reason I don't like the new material, everything is so damn predictable. Try something new, sil vous plait!

And No Matches - Better than the ?, but that doesn't say much. The refrain is actually quite catchy, although I hate it it sticks in my head. But I didn't like Big, big world (and believe me, being from Sweden, I had to listen to that song more than I wanted. Impossible to avoid.), and I don't like this one. The melody during H.P's part is quite good though, but this is also predictable and dull. H.P, HPV, H.P, HPV, a "funny" quote, HPV, the end.

Cambodia - Since I generally don't listen to electronic music I've never heard the original, as far as I know. Still, I do recognize the melody from somewhere, I just can't place it. Not as bad as some peple think (but then again, as I said, I've never heard the original), but the clapping is starting to get really annoying. Impossible to filter out too, it's almost the only thing I hear. An average instrumental.

I'm Lonely - Again, the same thing. H.P, HPV, H.P, HPV, bleh, bleh, bleh.
The HPV is just as bad as in NS, and goes on for too long. And again, clapping (I won't mention the clapping again, but I hate it in the rest of the songs too).

Hello Scooter. I have a question. Did all your equpment burn down midway through this album? Was the clapping the only sound you were able to use

Best wishes
// ttk
(Alright I did mention it again. Not anymore though, I promise)

One thing that really bugs me, is that not a single song has a really climatic ending, or middle, or a climatic part at all. There is not a single moment where everything explodes into.. Awesomness. Not in any song so far. Weird.

Whistling Dave - Heh.. I kinda like these kinds of melodies (Commodore 64, NES, SNES, etc.) so it's not a total failure to my ears. Still, the whistling isn't very convincing, and in between the videogame-sound it's quite boring. Same melody, but not as interesting. The "Game Over" at the end is a nice touch. I'd rather play Tetris myself, than listen to this. And I hate that game. Stupid fucking blocks, gave me a damn trauma in my early years. All in all, I would say this is below average since it's such a small part of it that I "enjoy".

Marian (Version) - I've seen some of you say that this reminds you of Rammstein. I do not think so. It's nice that they try something new, really, but the result isn't quite as nice. H.P isn't a very good singer, and some words really sound weird. No HPV, atleast, which is a good thing. If you had some fucking balls, guys, you'd release this as the third single.
One of the best on the album (which isn't saying too much), but there is still room for improvement. Nice change from the usual vocoder atleast, I hope they do something like this though even darker on the next album (perhaps with own lyrics?!?!). Would be interesting.

Lighten Up the Sky - Nearing the end, and as usual it ends with instrumental(s). The beginning sounds like Bramfeld (I think it's called, damn I am so tired now. Wall of text!), but not quite as good. Atleast it doesn't follow in the exact same steps as the earlier tracks on the album. It's a small change, but a change nevertheless. Goes on a little too long before the melody hits though, without an apparent reason. They could have cut off almost a minute, and noone would notice. (Oh, I really want to mention the clapping again..) Melody is so-so, nothing special, but tolerable. Might be the best instrumental on the album, but I am not entirely convinced by it.

The Hardcore Massive - Oh boy. When I heard the samples I got some hopes for this song. The beginning isn't too good, and just as in the previous song it goes on for a just a little too long. No variety. 2 minutes of repetiveness that isn't really needed. But then.. "Hardcore Massive..." and finally! 2 minutes in, in the last song on the album, I find something I really like. I've seen some say the melody is too random, childish and whatever, but I really dig it. In fact, it's probably my most played track so far. Scratch what I said above, this is the instrumental of the album. I am even willing to overlook the clapping (Fine! I said it again) and the beginning, because I really like that melody. Full volume, wake some neighbours and have a vodka shot. It gets me in a good mood! And I don't even care that it is kinda childish (sounds like a merry-go-round kind of thing), it makes me forget that I've been almost forcing myself through 11 tracks before it, if only for a short moment. Though when I think about it, it might the joy of reaching the end that makes it good. For example, if this melody would have been on BTTHWJ, I would perhaps not even have thought it worth mentioning. But right now, I'm judging it compared to the rest of the album, and that is an entirely different matter.

The Greatest Difficulty - Yeah.. The end is here. Finally. Eject.

So, the conclusion (if anyone even bothered to read through it all, which I doubt. Lazy fuckers)?
Well, it has one thing which MTG, WGTLLN and TUAO are lacking. A theme. It does sound like a album, which can't be said about the three mentioned albums. Still, I am kinda torn. I strongly dislike this jumpstyle-nonsense, and most of the songs are way too predictable. And happy. Why does every song have to be so damn happy (Marian excepted)? I want a dark album. Dark! Make it happen.

Is it better than TUAO? Well, I have on numerous occasions referred to TUAO as human waste on a plastic disc (which is of course a slight exaggeration), and I wouldn't go quite so far with JAOTW. However, it's a very tight race, but right now I think JAOTW is the winner, by a nose (or album) length. But it is really, really predictable.
Expect the unexpected? HA!

Next time, though, do something to surprise me. Anything. Please?

Review brought to you by the always cheerful and positive ttk.

Seriously, this and Heinrich stammler(I really like that song) are Norways' media's response to a steadily cheezier Scooter. That Party In Heaven thing is an extremely poor track, and somehow it really shows the decrease of Scooter

Great album but I don´t understand why they put out "And no matches" as their 2nd single"

It`s the weakest song on "JAATW" for me...

I love the title track, "Enola gay" and "Marian"
