Of course everything is stolen, it's unbelievable that still people complain about it. Live with it or listen to more original music.

Argument A), By ripping older songs Scooter are bringing older artists with brilliant songs you may have forgotten about, or never known of, to a new audience. I didn't know The logical song by Supertramp before Scooter's version, and now I am a fan of Supertramp because when researching the original version of the Scooter track, I found them and their music. Which I really like. Same with L'annonce des couleurs, I love that now after Jigga Jigga! 8) It is really a good thing in some ways. However.

Argument B), How annoying must it be for the artist to have their original work ripped by another band who don't give the credit to them. I am willing to bet that in the album sleeve it doesn't credit Kim Wilde with the writing credit for Cambodia. And I beat there's no mention of ODM in relation to Enola Gay. That would annoy me no end.

I personally rather like their style because it does bring older tracks to your attention, but also because I like hearing the original melody in the Scooter track. 8) Love it. Love Scooter :D

listen to the second sample of i'm lonely(from the homepage) and after that to the link above.
it is indeed very similar but still not the same melody.

That's an interesting argument, I became also interested in other groups because Scooter covered them / ripped them. Mostly it were track's that I didn't know anymore, but when I listened to some of them I recognised the songs, and recognised that I heared them when I was a child.

For example I like Celtic Woman now, because of Ratty's Revenge and Scarborough Affair. If Scooter would have not covered these tracks / melodies I would never know that they existed, now I know and play them often. Because of 'Jumping All Over The World' I started to like the track Sailor - A Glass Of Champagne

And because you've name dropped those tracks Scooterworld, I'm going to look them up and probably love them! 8)

I think it would be better of Scooter to just credit the source of their samples. English groups tend to do it, when they sample a track on a single there will be a reference to it on the sleeve in the box. That wouldn't kill them to do, would it? :o I think that would be better.

But they want to steal it like KLF, and KLF also gave no credits. They like to be hated because of this.
