:? :? :?

OMG was it that bad?

:? :? :?

... but more seriously its always like this when a new track is released - some love, some hate - most love / hate parts - then after a while every thing settles down back to normal.

At the moment I am just a bit sort of wound-up by people (with both views) who think that those who disagree with them should leave, are stupid, or don't know what they are saying.

I think we have discussed before that music can be a very emotive subject - it can be (is) one of lifes great passions - be it classical, rock, techno, rap or whatever - it can stir deep feelings within us - and when others critise our views it's hard to take. The intolerance is a problem to me - but I can understand it - I often want to argue with those who don't share me very strong views.

No, not at all. I just respect your honesty, that's all. I certainly don't think some people in this forum are capable of being that honest with themselves. We all know how much you love Scooter.

At the moment I find it hurts rather more than I feel it should

And yes - I love Scooter very much - probably more than is good for me - but the pleasure I this music has given me (and will continue to give me) is indescribable. :) (anyone who has seen a few seconds of me on EAA will see that!)

I just feel that their is a big difference between not liking a single thing 100% - and complaining about everything - but some people seem to view them as the same :?

I feel like I've been battling against that for 2 years now. I know i've been very negative recently but i can't help if my opinion is negative, especially since it's an honest opinion. But some people here treat me as if i dislike everything Scooter have ever produced, as if hate everything that Scooter are and have ever been with all my being... which is so far off the mark, it's untrue.

Some people are radically missing the point... Why am i here? How about they work that out for themselves.

Ok, I also want to say some words.
First, I'm somebody who love this new track because of its energy and it's typical Scooter. But on the other side, I'm a little bit disappointed of the fact, that nothing has REALLY changed. This HPV-parts reminds me too much on Hello Good to be back. Ok, I respect, that they want to implement a new thing in their songs. In BTC it's the rap-part. The problem is, that it doesn't function really. I think it's hard to put two styles of music in ONE track.
But for this moment, this in unimportant. Which is a more causing concern is, that the originality of Scooter-Singles is for some time on only one level and sounds uninspired and with time it becomes boring. Always the same scheme. Ok, I can understand, that they want to make a lots of money with selling Singles, that will pleases a broad masses of people and NOT exclusively the Fans with an scheme which functions on many singles since Ramp!. But that's NOT an excuse!
On the other hand, I don't want to say, that the albums are not includes variously tracks. I always love tracks, which are not so typical Scooter. 'Take me baby' for example. Ok, it has also a ripped melody, but this melody fits much better in Scooters track than in the original!!! And thats another point. I think, we must resign ourselves, that Scooter will almost ALWAYS take some melodies from other songs and put it in their tracks. Only the conversion of ripped melodies should be arranged in a more varied way and not so obviously. That is not mean, that I endorse it, but it's an compromise. Of course, I would be very happy, when Scooter produces an OWN, powerful track, but don't know whether this dream will be come true! ;-)
Maybe, Scooter can do (on the albums) try some other styles, which they not do before...trip-hop, or do a Pop-song.
Something that surprises us ALL!
Don't have to be beautiful...but it helps

Okay, I could debate with you. But, I like Scooter and I just come on here to post up my music really.

I rarely see what is going on here because it's usually guys like you b###h about Scooter.

Let me ask you, why are you here? Why are you here if you have hated Scooter for years?

I've hated wrestling for years, you know when the last time I saw it was. 6 years ago, I don't go to wwe.com or go on big wrestling forums to complain how much it sucks.

Go listen to someone you like, if you don't Scooter or feel they are selling out...why are you even here? This is a Scooter Forum, a lot of people here do like Scooter. If you don't like them, why would you come here and say it to begin with?

I think I'll leave this discussion to the soothsayers and Anti-Commercial people who probably wear commercial clothes. Later. I'm wrong, you win.

why dont you go make some rave music or something.

Yo, I tried to make one topic for people who LIKE the single. Let me repeat, that....LIKE.

I didn't make it for debates. Come on, there are like five fucking topics with this debate bullshit!! Seriously, leave one fucking topic free of debates and with something positive for Scooter to look at.

I made one topic for people who like the single, and why?

If you don't like the track, that's fine. You all made it clear. Please don't bring those opinions into every fucking topic...especially one that says, "Who likes the single?"

Do you think Scooter comes in here to see every topic with just debates on how they suck? Have one Topic in their favor. Just one.

I making a new topic...please, no debates. Please show some respect to Scooter and people who do like the single. If you want to show your opinions, you made them clear at least five times in every other topic.

NO MORE DEBATES!! If you don't like the single, fine...you aren't anti-scooter bag of misery. I don't like every Scooter song ether, the DEICHKIND REMIX SUCKED!! There, even I admit I don't like all of their latest material. So, please no more bullshit debates.

No more fucking debates over this, if you like the single...have one topic for fans and scooter to know...if not, have another topic for that, oh wait..you have five!!!
Shout-outs go to: SLK, Hard C. Pusher, Soul Train, Dream Guardians, Deepforces, Ic3m4n, Trance-Atlantic, and N.E.O.N. Project. Thank you for your supports and feedback.

i never had a problem with scooter ripping off. i even like it and i want scooter to keep doing that(something i get flamed for ) as long as music is good i dont care where did they take it from. this time song is too chaotic, badly ripped and composed, sound sucks and rap part doesnt fit in at all.

and hpp shou;ld really shout more instead of rapping but its impossible after all these years of screaming and smoking he lost his voice.

I 100% agree. The music is most important, and the band's health.

Pffffff, was it really the same way here when other new songs of Scooter were released?

Arguing about it is good, share your opinion is also good, but it makes me feel a little > :x when people say: ITS a bad song.....or ITS crap...or even... ITS a good song
No, its your own opinion about it :) . My daughter often says to me: "Angerfist is the best, Neophyte is the best, and your Scooter is not good" , and i often explain to her: "no,thats your taste of music, i have my taste" .

So, for everyone, please respect others opinions :? , we all know that we had high hopes for this new song, and for some people it didn't turn out as they wanted. I can imagine thats hard to swallow. But others do like the new song (with or without the rap), so we must respect both ways.

Ow and for the record, i like BTC, as i have said in several other topics :)

haha, weekend's melody was completely the same thing as the melody from "push - universal nation". I am sure that was the push song they used melodies from, dude...that's so not true. They have taken exact melodies and just used them creatively.

Now, as for taken a melody someone else did and putting it into a song and making it work, especially from a different genre than dance, then you are right. The song has its own identity, but to say they took melodies and made it so it didn't sound like the original is wrong. If they did that, then there would be no complaints of "Scooter ripped off this melody exactly!!!". How many times have that been said? It's been said with every single. You are just don't like the song, plain and simple. You have your reasons, but Scooter does what they always do. They listen to music, get ideas, they are a colleague as they have said.

As for ScooterUSA, if you don't agree that is fine. If you don't like the song that is fine, but you still come on the forums and you are still going to be curious of the new album.

As for Scooter being sell-outs, were they sell-outs back then when they had Marc Arcandipane do shout-out lyrics on "Maria", almost in the same field as Lincoln XL? They are trying to sell records. Put yourself in their shoes and try to do what you want at their level of success. They are doing what they have to do, it's a commercial thing. They still get to express themselves, but also they have to do what could sell.

They can't go, "let's leave out this rap part, because the fans on our message board won't like it. Forget that rap is popular everywhere and that we perform live on public tv, we need to satisfy our real fanatical fans,". They are trying to, but they are also trying to get more fans, and also try different things. Cut them some slack.

I think the song rocks, if you don't like rap at all, then you won't like that one part. I grew up on rap, I don't like rap today and I don't listen to the old school stuff, but having that one part is kinda growing on me.

Are they sell-outs? Yeah, they have to sell records. Are they losing their sound, creativity, style? No...they evolve and change like any band. If you like it, cool. If you don't, go listen to someone else and don't support them. Plain and simple.

I've meant the melody from earth, wind and fire in Weekend and I'm NOT complaining about LINCOLN'S RAP PART (IMO it's a nice thing) but I'm complaining about the fact that HP is turning more and more into a rapper

I have a simple explanation for Scooters lack of creativity:
THEY HAVE MORE ALBUM TRACKS IN THE TYPICAL SCOOTER STYLE WHICH AREN'T RELEASED AS SINGLES!

Look back at former times: on albums like BTTHJ, WBTN or Wicked! there were only 2-4 songs which had the typical style of a Scooter single, the other songs were experimental things and instrumentals like Sex Dwarf, Space Cowboy, Trancendental, Acid Bomb etc.. The scheme of the typical Scooter single was only used in 3 or 4 tracks a year which were released as singles. And the great (stolen or self-produced) mellows were also only used in these few songs. But since TSTE they've been using the typical Scooter scheme and supa mellows nearly in each track of an album! And many songs will always stay on these albums, so the good ideas and the "ear-worm" mellows are expired too fast (and the fans get fed up with them): the Irish music in Take a break was good enough for a single in the style of How much is the fish?, Seven Bridges with its crowd and piano parts would have been a single in former times and songs like The Chaser or Like Hypa said had also chart potential.
So they "waste" alot of potential, mellows and ideas in a very short time: just imagine I'm your pusher, FasterHarder, Posse, Aiii shot the DJ, She's the Sun and FTM on one normal studio album in the second chapter - which ideas would have rested for the next singles/albums?
That's also why there are so many rip-offs on today's albums: in half a year you can produce five or six self-made supa songs which would have been singles during a former chapter. Such songs take time and in former times there were only 2 or 3 typical single songs on one album but today they have double that amount in the same time and so they need to cover.
CONCLUSION: producing more albums with experimental tracks or spending more time on an album with potential singles and more single releases (like Rammstein for example)

Well, beside the discussion about the song: It's really amazing, that we can talk so much about Scooter. Even if we don't share opinions at everytime (and sometime don't find the right words) we share a huge interest in scooter and their music. And at some times it gets some kind of aggressive but it just shows that we all are emotional linked to scooter.

So once again scooter is more than music. And being part of this posse make me proud of being a fan even if don't share the opions and tastes everytime.
Side by side we are the dangerous crew!
