About the ripping: I admit, it's not nice that it is (again) a rip off. BUT we must think of something: Mike NEVER said that it wouldn't be a cover. He said it would be original. You can also read that as: original for Scooter. And it IS an original track from Scooter. Electric guitars+rap+drums+HPV= not done by Scooter yet. I know, it's not nice to look at it this way but I don't believe Mike would lie to us.

I posted this in another topic. Read it why I think Mike hasn't lied to us but we fooled ourselfs.

i just replied in another topic:

What mike said on myspace (just looked):

And 140 is true and i think every track is very nice and its not a cover.

so he DID say it would not be a cover!

but its not a cover - cover and ripping are not same

its usual scooter rip - not a cover - its what scooter do - we live with it all this time - for me the c.rap is the real problem

so...

Melody in Refrain covered from "Don't fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult
Melody @ the Shouts covered from "What Time is Love?" by The KLF, which have the Guys already ripped in the Track "Posse"....

WOW... Perfect!!! That's what I say 100% Original Scooter Track... since 2001, when they released "Aiii shot the DJ", they was never productive after that, to release a own song... only on the last three albums are a few own songs and the B-Sides was except "Circle of Light" original...

so very good performance of our Guys... on the good side, we all know, that they ripping and covering old Tracks since 1994.... but on the bad side, they was able to release own songs ("Fire", "Friends", ...) in the past... so why are can't they do no own song... are they lazy? Or are they too rich for producing intensiv on the tracks???

Now my Comment about "Behind the Cow": I like that song... something different with that rap part... buuuuutttttt... it's disappointed me, that Michael said a weeks ago, that it's will a own Song and now this... :|

Yeah, but at least Ramp had a significant original part.

So.... What songs haven't been including Rips off ? Covering ?
This is desperate they can't release an original song, that's probably the reason why they have got MANY young fans, because they are the ones that won't know it's been ripped off. The older fans will know this is covering parts and parts from other songs, just like some of us for BTC :( Is the magic gone ?

Is MOVE YOUR ASS a rip off too ?

Just the MC shouts. They are mostly taken from Ultra-Sonic.

Thats a shame. Piano part was definitely the heart of the song. Sorry scooter, but chucking some cheesy HP lyrics and crappy rapping over it doesn't make it yours.

it's not a rip off from "I shot the Sheriff", but "Aiii shot the DJ" contains a Drum Loop from a KLF Tune and when I'm right, the Melody has build like in one of Moby's Tune (only the art of the melody is the same, but it's not a full kind of rip off)

klf - what time is love is the song

and one of the melos in A III Shot the dj is a ripoff of very unknown track, i read somewhere in the past. so newest original single is Fire, but they stole the idea for Rock and rave in one track from the band Calipso.

it IS a ripoff - since HPV says "aiii shot the DJ" like "Aiii Shot The Sheriff" is sung in I Shot The Sheriff

Not sure i quite go along with that one, Bjarke mate. Aiii Shot The DJ was certainly more original than a lot of the singles that followed it - whether it's totally original i'm not at all sure. But even if it is a rip, it's a tasteful one, one that is done well, there are original parts in it and the track sounds complete, sounds as a whole.

I just heard the track "S.O.S." by Filterfunk...the chorus guitar is very similar to that one in BTC...maybe a little bit of inspiration? of course, not a 1:1 cover-rip-off

I guess I would have noticed if it would have been taken from S.O.S. when I have listened that track a lot... Actually it differs a lot from it.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack
