Scooter in Romania on New Year's Eve

Great news. It's been 90% confirmed that Scooter will play, along with Smokie and Phoenix in Sibiu, Romania, on New Year. This concert is going to celebrate the entry of Romania in the European Union, and the start of the "Sibiu-European cultural capital 2007" 8) :D

How do you know it's 90% confirmed??? I don't think they would play on NYE mainly because its Rick's birthday on the 1st.

I'm saying it's 90% sure because the news is on all the newspapers here. And i also heard the mayor of Sibiu say it on tv. But we'll have to wait and see... :roll:

I hope it does happen for Romanian fans - but unfortuantly we have seen quite a few cases of concerts being advertised as having Scooter appearing, even tickets being sold and it has not happened.

As soon as it is confirmed it will be in the Dates here :)

Unfortunately it has happened before - for various reasons as far as I know - a couple of times just someone out to make money by false claims, without any contact with Scooter. This seems to thankfully be rare, and would certainly not be the case in anything like this.

Other times, not involving tickets sales etc, it seems to just be misunderstanding or over-enthusiasm - one side seems to be sure a contract will happen before anything is actually signed, and for some reason it does not happen, although quite often it does happen happily :D

I hope yo Romanians have a New Year Party to remember! :D

Its always dissapointing when something you look forward to does not happen - 4 concerts I have been going to have been cancelled, sometimes at 4 or 5 days notice - hurts like hell! :(
