H.T.J.V.-S!/K!

Alright crew!

Here's my new release called S!/K!. Few comments:

I must say i'm very happy with this release. Especially K! (reworked), which is probably the best track i have ever made. I hope you all will like it and please, give me some feedback! Some of you might remember the original version, K! (My Rainbow), which i presented as a b-side of A! (Atlantic) in last december. As i promised, i made the new version. S! is also an older track which i wanted to improve. The original was S (Let Me See A Smile On Your Face). Both original tracks were dedicated to special persons. :) And there we have a b-side called The Fall. I guess it tells about when things go wrong or something like that. When you are angry or sad. And when you hear the mainmelody of K! (reworked), you could think a path of joy and sorrow. :) / :( Anyway...

1.S! (reworked)
2.K! (reworked)
3.The Fall

well i still experience some troubles remembering your artist name and tracks with names like that are impossible to find in search engines.

Old title style from Scot Project, he gives an examination after that one letter :) so does DFS. It's nothing difficult to search :)

That damn 320kbps mp3 again
62MB for 3 tracks... well, anyway I D/Led it. Let's see ;)

*listening to S! (Reworked)*

Hmm not bad starting, though those hats are too loud I say. It needs mastering and some reverb to give the sound some more "space". Now there's a stop... and a new bassline comes up. Hehh, the kick&bass restarts, sounds very good! Another lead. Sharp and saw-like, makes it spin good.
Stops again... string comes... real trancey motives. The kick is pretty disturbing this way, I still recommend some reverb.
Whoo an airplane blew my head off, and the melody came in! I imagine a bunch of people with hands up and eyes closed, waving to the music. The percusson comes, and... boom! Groove starts with hihats and rides. Easy going grooves, catchy! Hm this part is a bit monotone, melody and grooves are OK but no changes. But it's not too long, so no major problems with it. The flow slowly goes away and makes a good lead-out. And voilá, track ends.

Pretty long for me, but it's allright. The melody and the concept are good and originality is most important, so congrats on that :) The only thing that bothered me is that the mastering is a bit bad imho - though I know that's the most difficult part of producing. Don't get down however, it's a nice work :)

Now onward to the 2nd one.

*listening to K! (Reworked)*

This is a better start for my ears. The thump kick sounds good, reminds me on some acid tracks. The bass and lead comes in, the kick gets stronger. Not bad, indeed! With the next effect and the rides it spins quite good. Again a double switch, kick gets stronger and a new bassline goes on. The claps are pretty weird, but you can get used to it in a few patterns. Here comes another lead, and very loooong groovy part. I'd say maybe it's too long. Again no changes, same stuff goes on until stop and a very steep switch to the melodical part. It's like crossing the fader from hardtrance to uplifting. Can be disturbing - at my case it's not. Same kicking and percussion style as in S! - expected some change. But! The melody doesn't start up with the groove, rather it switches back to the bass & lead part. Now this is a clever trick! The rollback sounds awesome, perfectly made. Groove disappears and leads out...

Definitely better than the former. That rollback idea is really great, very smart stuff :) It's also better mastered than S! I think, the kick has more space than there. Maybe you're right in that it's your best work so far :)

And the final one.

*listening to The Fall*

Yay I feel like being on a carneval. I can see those salsa girls shaking their ass with palm skirts- until now. A kick ruined the whole thing, ok let's make it harder than. I like that strange bass-donk sound - reminds me on Like This Like That by Mauro Picotto. After a short stop, a sharp saw-like bass synth blows out of the track. Sounds pretty good with the "carneval-groove". And it goes on further. Boom-boom-boom. It may sound a bit monotone after the two other track, but listening with some techno-oriented ears it makes a really cool track. Could fit in any techno set. The ending is also weird though, but sounds good in the context.

Techno-like track as a b-side for trancey tracks? Way too weird :P But the overall effect is great. If you ask me, definitely K! takes the prize, The Fall comes in second place and S! is the third.
You improved a lot since your last major release I think. I'll be watching you

Just one question please. Why so damn long tracks? 6 minutes are fair enough imho.

i could dounload them. waited 2 hours and when it reached 65 percent, it stopped.
its unnecessarry to have them in 320 when knowing there is almost no hearable difference between 192 and 320.

You are almost PRO DaveFromSheffield!! K! (Reworked) is absolutely your best track so long. It's quite trancy and partly little bit uplifting. For my part, let me say that you are very talented. I'll be waiting for your forthcoming album :D
