The open door

I wanna thank you Father and praise your name because of the things you give me today, and everyday, my life, the air that i can breathe, a house to life, a good family, even when they yet don't believe in you, but i know you will work on them at the proper time and save them from hell. Thank you, because i heard your voice and didn't refuse your free gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ. Without you, i'd be lost forever today, and without a goal in life.

And now that i carry your name to this forum, i don't want to do anything wrong. Please protect me from all kind of evil, don't let me be selfish, arrogant, or proud of myself. Remove that feelings from my heart, and if something is said against me or you here, i want not to pay attention to it, only to your sweet voice.

Almost everyone here don't believe you, show me what to tell them, what they need to know, and knowing that only you can work on their hearts, because you are God. And please, i beg you that you heal Sandra's mother, if you want, and to confort Sandra with the peace that only you can give

I wanna dedicate this topic to you so i don't disturb other topics and people. Give peace and bless this forum through it, in the name of Jesus

Amen

Come on, lock or delete this topic, this forum isn't religious in any way and nobody has right to force someone else to believe in God and nobody doesn't have to read stupid monologues about hearing voices in head.

Hmm. It appears we have a dilemma. Although this is religious and blatant attempt to get those of us on the forum to follow it., he's not necessarily forcing anyone to follow it. :? Hmm. However, I do think this topic should be deleted. I see where he's coming from but things like this make things uncomfortable. This is a Scooter forum. Please talk about Scooter. :)

Well I don't know why does he have to post his praising over here, he should praise for himself, I don't see any point in this topic, to me it seems like he tries to convince people that God exists...well, doesn't matter, I'll stay back from this discussion, I don't like anything related to God, praising, etc..

WTF?

Yes, I believe in God, but I'm not really that religious. Don't go to church unless someone gets married, buried, confirmed or something like that. And I really think that a forum like this is the wrong place to pray. Do it at home, or on some religious forum, but not here. Thanks.

As Homer Simpson said: I'm not a bad guy! I work hard, and I love my kids. So why should I spend half my Sunday hearing about how I'm going to Hell?

I must admit that sentiments like those expressed by Artwork in the OP do disturb me slightly, but his comments are entirely harmless, in my opinion. What Artwork hopes to achieve by praying online I don't know but if he makes himself feel better by posting it then fair enough - As long as he doesn't turn too evangelical on us.

I don't think I will delete or lock this topic, because I would rather Artwork have a topic for this than it get into a lot of other topics.

You are right - its not a religious forum, but this is User Topics, where we can start a topic about anything, so it is in the right place.

If you don't like it just ignore it.

I have no intention of getting involved in any sort of religious debate in this forum, but I will be watching to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.

Its only one topic, so if you don't want to talk religion don't :)

So that's why you were so sure about life after death. Well like I said, I don't wanna be a christian anymore so I'm not joining your holy topic.

We are not only here to express our feeling and ideas, but also to learn from them. I mean, i could explain things that you should know, but i should learn them as well. I don't wanna feel that i'm better than you anymore. The catholic church has that problem, as well as other religions, and anyone, like myself, can fall in that terrible mistake and forget the terrible sinner that i am, and that i need to be forgiven everyday by God, and i must forgive other's faults, even when i'm the one who is right. I cannot make a good move when i am upset with anything or anyone.

"Everybody is free to bow down"

I saw the animated gif that Imre showed here, and a lot of information can be extracted from it. Thank you Imre

In the gif are represented a bunch of people bowing up and down, they like to go to the gym and do these exercises. Not really, their religion, their sacred book tells them to do it. That act tells us they are probably muslims. And why they believe that? In few words, that's their life. And the word life here means all this together: the tradition, the law, the goverment, the religion, those things you tell to your children to follow, the self esteem, the social values, and of course, the merits to "buy/win" a place in heaven. If they don't do that, they will the considered unfaithful, and this leads to family and social dishonor, and with our kind of view we can understand they are considered as a virus, computer virus, and the solution of that: don't execute, quarantine, delete, and in the worst cases: change some lines in some registry files or...

When they are tested, they can act with violence, but there is something they share with the Bible, and it's called the esteem of their beliefs, and the claiming for revenge of the blood shed, and so they can resist threads to quit their faith or be killed. The big difference, though, between they and us, the West Side of the world, is the following.

Our life don't depend on the Bible anymore, their life does on their religion. We prefer to read and study magazines and any other info located in internet. Their religion can move them to the war. We hate being in war, we even hate this or these men sitting there goberning our countries, getting richer, while others get poorer, and governing our country bad and talking bad against the opposed candidate for goverment, who talks bad to him as well. And we would do the same. In few words, our life don't give a damn for the religion and for the one who rules our country or region, but they try to follow everything because they understand there's a price if they don't.

But to fill this lack of ours, we take a look at... ourselves, and to our shell of friends and family we trust, and our worship and "exciting time" belongs to music, and videogames, and we have a business in our jobs too, way too much for the expensive life we live in.

I think it's enough about that, let's hear what God has to tell us today, so we can think of it

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Daniel 6.10-18

And Daniel, on hearing that the writing had been signed, went into his house; now he had windows in his room on the roof opening in the direction of Jerusalem; and three times a day he went down on his knees in prayer and praise before his God, as he had done before.

Then these men were watching and saw Daniel making prayers and requesting grace before his God.

Then they came near before the king and said, O King, have you not put your name to an order that any man who makes a request to any god or man but you, O King, for thirty days, is to be put into the lions' hole? The king made answer and said, The thing is fixed by the law of the Medes and Persians which may not come to an end.

Then they made answer and said before the king, Daniel, one of the prisoners of Judah, has no respect for you, O King, or for the order signed by you, but three times a day he makes his prayer to God.

When this thing came to the king's ears, it was very evil to him, and his heart was fixed on keeping Daniel safe, and till the going down of the sun he was doing everything in his power to get him free.

Then these men said to the king, Be certain, O King, that by the law of the Medes and Persians no order or law which the king has put into force may be changed.

Then the king gave the order, and they took Daniel and put him into the lions' hole. The king made answer and said to Daniel, Your God, whose servant you are at all times, will keep you safe.

Then they got a stone and put it over the mouth of the hole, and it was stamped with the king's stamp and with the stamp of the lords, so that the decision about Daniel might not be changed.

Then the king went to his great house, and took no food that night, and no music instruments were placed before him, and his sleep went from him.

God bless and confort you all, specially Sandra and Fannie
