Best Scooter Chapter Of All ?

It's hard to vote in this poll.I know Scoote for a while, first song I remember hearing is Age of love and it definitely didn't make me a fan, I wasn't especially aware about Scooter at that time, Call me manana was first song that got my attention and after hearing F**k the millenium I can say I became a fan.

There are always ups and downs of each chapter.E.g. I like all albums of 1st chapter, sound is very unique and genuine, it has a hidden magical energy.In 2nd chapter there are 2 albums I adore:WBTN & BTTHJ and 2 albums I almost hate: NTTC & Sheffield.In 3rd chapter songs are nice to listen, but there's a big lack of originality.On the other hand I never experienced 1st chapter, so I can't objectively judge the atmosphere.

If I concentrate only on music, I give my vote to 1st chapter, because it's a period where I like most of the singles & instrumentals and majority of the albums.

It doesn't hold true all the time I know. I personally think some of the trance and hard dance coming out at the moment is some of the best that's ever been released. Looking back at all my favourite UK hard dance songs i've realised 2005 was a massive year.

But still, even for me, someone that strives so hard to think view everything in the world as objectively as possible, the nostalgia of my early teens still affects my views and i still see 99/00 as one of the golden ages of dance music.

The same goes for Scooter, people like ozscooter love the 3rd chapter so much over the others because it's the 3rd chapter that got them into Scooter in the first place rather than any intrinsic superiority of the music.

And I think Scooter themselves have to take that into account when they assess how well a chapter is going. A lot of new fans were attrached by Nessaja and Weekend and those new fans were so excited by this new band they had discovered they kind of got lost in it. Scooter, i think, have to remember that a lot of fans are affected by the fact that they are relatively "new" to Scooter. I think Scooter have to say to themselves, "Is this chapter going really well because all the songs we are currently making are genuinely brilliant and creative or are we just riding the wave of exictement generated by a new set of fans that were captured by the two genuinely great songs that were Weekend and Nessaja?" Interesting point, i think.

Sort of, Sandra. Like it affects a lot people, this "Roger Sanchez theory" (if we can call it that :lol: ) does have a slight affect on me aswell, as my fond memories for the years 1999/2000 show.

But for me it's not quite the same for Scooter. I didn't discover Scooter until Ramp and wasn't a true fan until Nessaja/Weekend, yet the nostalgia doesn't seem to affect me. Of course I have fond memories of Nessaja and the days I first discovered Scooter but those memories haven't convinced me into believing that the 3rd chapter is the best or that Scooter were at their best in 2002/2003. I feel Scooter's best album was Wicked back in 1996 and their best chapter is the 2nd. Now, I can't claim to have any memories of those particular eras as I didn't even know Scooter existed till Axel had left.

I also discovered Scooter at the same time as you, so I certainly have no nostaligic feelings about the early days - and I must say it certainly was not "Love At First Sight " for me as far as Scooter was concerned - I did not like RAMP for quite a while, I think for me it was discovering there were years of wonderful music, and so much variety that really made me a fan - and it just kept getting better!

What I meant was that the impact, and impressions, and the way you view things when you are say, 15 years old, can be very different from the way you see things at 19 or 20 - I think you can never recreate those wonderful feelings of discovering something when you were younger, also I think as we grow older we become more critcal and and just view things differently.

My teenage nostalga would be towards T-Rex! (who I still like)

I agree entirely, Sandra.

As I said, i just think Scooter have to be careful when assessing the success of the 3rd chapter. In 2002 the band attracted a hell of a lot of new fans and those fans, instead of viewing the current music in a more objective way, are still caught up with the excitement of what is for them still a relatively new thing. I personally think that in the latter years of the chapter, the band totally failed to excite those fans who have known the band since 1994 or 1998 who are naturally more critical and nostalgic. I'll admit, it's a tough job to do that but they have failed. Most of the current excitement comes from the newer generation of fans who are naturally much easier to please.

I have to say the Who's Got The Last Laugh Now" kind of excited me - its certainly one of my favourite albums.

I guess something like this will always be very hard to assess - there are so many variables, and when looking at something as subjective as music, involving personal taste, current trends etc it is very difficult.

BTW - do you have MSN? I am sure we could have endless discussions about this sort of thing there

These pictures transpose athmosphere of 1st chapter very good.
They were crazy, freaky, full of energy and h.p. was still down to earth. :wink:

THAT was SCOOTER !!! Compare to now ... theres nothing more left.
Scooter a feeling, a family a LEGEND. And now .... a big joke. Not only cause of jay frog. HP, look at him on those pictures and then look at him now. sure, everyone´s getting older. but the sad thing is his changing of his personality. hes not the same guy as you can see on the pictures :-(

All the money, all the success was simply to much for him. hes on a way to destroy the memorys we have from him. old scooter fans know him right ; a powerful frontman ! a energy rocket on stage, a funny person ... but funny in a non ironic way. the only things hp do right now IS ironic. he´s out of ideas. and if he will go on with smoking his voice away ... its a shame.

he´s out of ideas, he thinks he is the greatest and his voice is wrecked. and now simon. hes a little small spot of light in this time of darkness in the scooter area! his productions are really good. and i hope he brings the new ideas to scooter which beware them from the end of a legend. and maybe the undestroyd, naturally personality of simon helps hp to find on the right way again.

no self praising ... no cover all stuff ... hp should look at rick. hes nearly still the same like in the beginning. alright .... hes a ball right now :-) but a nice ball :-) as i´d look to the pictures i realize again : this time was super and wont come back again. but maybe simon give us 3,4 years with a piece of old scooter spirit. please do it !

i think you overestimate jays work in scooter.he is not the guy who had such a big influence on hp and rick.they were big beofre jay came into the band.and jay seems to me as a more shy guy who wont fight with hp.

Either way, I think he made the right decision to be in a band he didn't wanna be in... I think he'll do better now aswell, we can only hope. And as to those pictures, I wouldnt know what I'm looking at, because Ferris was in the band between when I was 3 and 8 years old...

Very hard to decide but ive gone with the third chapter, thats the only chapter that i have known scooter from begining to end.
However i have my likes and dislikes from all of the chapters.
