I sent him a quick message last night asking him to look at the S.O.S. topic which he read.

The poor man will realise he can't win before he starts - because while I agree in that topic you all wanted Scooter to change - you had a variety of very different ideas about how to do it :?

i agree with Sandra,we see it what come
you will meet me at a scooter concert ;) be sure

I don't expect him to reply to individual messages. I sent him a quick message last night asking him to look at the S.O.S. topic which he read. Obviously he hasn't replied but he's a busy man now and for him to set up a special website especially to keep us informed about what the guys are doing is great in itself. I say good luck to the fella. He's seems like a top bloke.

you are a moron. great way to SCARE him into making good music.

Put yourself in his position. You get an email from a scooter fan asking him to go look at a topic on his new bands forum. O cool he says. Than he goes and looks and its a bunch of people telling scooter how they dont like the musical direction scooter is taking. SO NOW the pressure is put on him to take scooter away from that. He just got here, relax a little bit and let him produce, he doesnt need that on one of the first few days in his career as a scooter member. Way to act like a child.

I think he is probably experienced enough to know where he's going, and I hardley think that Rick and H.P. are going to let Michael have total control - but I must admit I kind of agree with you scooterusa - if I read that topic my initial reaction would be kind of "shit - what the hells this?"

I'm sure he'll read what he wants to and will make his own decisions - I think he is probably mature and experienced enough to know his own direction :)

You see, this kind of rubbish is just you all over, Ben. You're going way over the top as usual. Do you want to see what i said to him? This what i said to him -

" Hi, Michael.

Welcome to Scooter, mate. I hope you're well.

Just thought i'd send you a quick message to ask you if you'd take a quick look at this topic from the official Scooter forum >

http://www.scootertechno.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6252

I know a lot's been said in that particular topic and you might not even agree with everything that is said but I think it might be useful, being as you are new to the band, for you to see what some of the fans are saying about the current Scooter, to see some of the ways we feel Scooter can be improved.

Some of the fans, including myself, have actually been really concerned about Scooter rececntly and many of us feel they simply haven't moved on as a band since 2002-2003. That they are lacking the creativity, direction, focus and spirit of fun they once had.

I'm hoping desperately that you can bring something fresh to Scooter and, looking at your record as a producer, i'm very excited and hopeful.

Good luck, my friend. I hope you become a Scooter legend.

All the best and give my regards to H.P, Rick and Jens,

Phil a.k.a pjad_uk"

As you can see I wasn't pushy and my tone made it perfectly clear that showing this topic wasn't meant to put pressure on him.

Now, as far as i'm concerned, he sees the topic, he reads what he wants and he takes what he wants from it. The idea of the S.O.S. topic was to help Scooter (if they ever read it) and i hope that it helps Michael. I want the Scooter members to read the topic. I'm not forcing them to agree with me or anyone else, but I at least want to give them food for thought.

He's just joined one of the biggest dance acts on the face of the planet - the pressure's already on. If he can't handle the pressure then maybe he shouldn't be in the band.

I'm not acting like a child - i'm using my noggin and giving Michael the "ammunition" he needs to help and improve Scooter. Stop going way over the top, like you always do, Ben.

So do I. And I hope he, and the rest of the band, think about the things people are saying and not just totally ignore criticism.

But we - even though we are probably the most vocal, represent such a small minority of Scooter fans

Yeah, but they can only take notice of the fans if the fans are vocal and, as you say, we are the ones that are vocal. Although, we are a fraction of Scooter's fanbase i'm sure we provide a useful cross-section of views.

Scooter don't have to go ahead with everything we suggest but i want them to at least listen and think. The views of fans are a useful tool for Scooter as a band - they should consider them.

Actually come to think of it - although, i don't think i've put any pressure on Michael by doing what i've done, maybe pressure is exactly what he needs, what the whole band needs. I think the band have been very blasé recently.

LOLLLL over the top!!!??? You are the obessed fan stalking him on myspace telling him HOW he should do things. Who do you think you are, and why would he listen to you? You take this scooter thing so seriously. Its music, its just fucking music, nothing more. And sure maybe music means alot to you as it does me, but in the end its not life. And I think it is SO pompous of you going around trying to tell scooter members what they should be doing, or even just suggesting they view a topic that has the same tone. Give it up man. you are the EPITOME of over the top. stop writing things in anger, and make sense.

Well, let me assure you, you are. I'm not obsessed about Scooter. An "obsessed" Scooter fan, if there is such a thing, is someone like DFS or Christine. Not me. I don't stalk Michael Simon on myspace. I'm just a regular Scooter fan, with strong opinions that just generally spends a lot of time surfing the net. That's proportion.

As far as i'm concerned, any "normal" human being would have had a quick look, taken on board what they agreed with, ignored what they felt was rubbish and then moved on. I am one Scooter fan, he is one Scooter member. You have over-estimated my and Michael Simon's influence on Scooter. Now that's proportion for you.

Stop it guys :?

Phil - its not right to refer to others by name as obsessed - and I think you probably spend more time on here than those 2 anyway, and are you saying that you and Michael have the same level of influence?

But lets end this - its not doing either of you any good - imagine how it would look to Michael if he read this - fans fighting in this way

I put the obsessed in speech marks, Sandra. ... (well, what should be inverted comers. )

And at the moment i'm away from Uni, just slobbing around so I'm spending a lot of time surfing. Probably too much. It's not a reflection of my "obsession" with Scooter. When i get back to Uni i'll be busy during the daytime. I hope.

And are you saying that you and Michael have the same level of influence?

No, not at all. I'm just saying that a) i'm only 1 Scooter fan so it's not as if i have more influence than anyone else necessarily and b) Michael Simon is only one third of Scooter so even if he agrees with everything that is written in the S.O.S. topic he still has to convince Rick and H.P.

Quoted from ""scooterusa""
