hard stuff without high-pitched vocals ans some innovative ideas.

(I don't know whether that has been our new member's style before...I rather doubt it, but I really hope they get a little harder and/or trancier)

no next standard cover or rip-off single like they did whole third chapter without 1 exception!
And albums with more than 1-2 own tracks...

I want:

Trance album with a lot of instrumentals with maybe one or two proghouse tracks, couple of vocaltrancers and those two single tracks.

I except:

Album with 2-5 single tracks. Couple of trance-instrumentals and the rest is "electrotrance" and electrohouse with and without H.P. vocals. HPV might be in one track.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

I'd like to see some hard stuff, some pretty experimental sh1t :D, and plenty of H.P. vocals. A few instrumentals here and there. Tracks with good synths and bass. Speeeeed! :D Stuff that you can feel in your spine!

If singles will contain ripped mateiral, that doesn't bother me, because almost each single from the past till now had some ripped melodies, synths or sth. else.

I'd like to see own material on albums, like instrumentals and also vocal songs.I only hope they don't turn into complete trance, perhaps hard trance is fine, but not other variations.

On album productions I want less H.P. and less HPV than on WGTLLN, it was excessive.Pitched voice is ok, but as long as it is kept within some boundaries.

Well, what i want and what i expect are two different things.

Personally, i'd like to see them try either Drum & Bass or try some trancey, chillout stuff.

Doing Drum & Bass would be a great way to link the music of today with the early first chapter stuff. A way of bringing Scooter full circle. We had the broken beats in tracks like When I Was Young Boy and Our Happy Hardcore and they haven't used them since (apart from that Jungle intro in All I Wanna Do) even though DnB is still massive in underground circles. Using broken beats is not only interesting but will also help keep Scooter at arm's length from the more commercial types of dance. The band could keep their speed, their aggression, use all the modern production techniques and like Pendulum, keep things melodic and catchy.

Or going chillout would also be nice. As i've said countless times before, i love Wicked and still think that as an album it's the most concrete expression of the band's talents as producers. It's intelligent, deep music. And it would be very easy to combine that sound with the sharp edged trance that's been so popular over the last couple of years.

Either of these, or an intelligent combination of both, would be a great evolution for the band. It would take something from their roots and push it into the 21st Century.

About d'&b' and Pendulum:

Can you imagine HP telling:"somewhere in the vast nothingness of space....We're marooned on a small island, in an endless sea,
Confined to a tiny spit of sand, unable to escape,
But tonight, it's heavy stuff " and some nice D'&B' to that....I guess all underground artists would tear Scooter apart!

Underground artists will rip Scooter apart whatever they do until they move away from the commercial scene. Simple as. They shouldn't let some narrow-minded DnB fans stop them trying something fresh and innovative.

Although, as good as Pendulum are, I wouldn't want Scooter to cover Pendulum. That would sadden me greatly. Even to copy Pendulum's exact style wouldn't really be right.

But, some aggressive, powerful, melodic Drum & Bass (with occasional down tempo tracks with broken beats and some nice Wicked style pianos) from Scooter would be nice. Very nice.

Coma? Haven't heard that one before.

And about the beats being in the same pattern - i wasn't aware that they were the same patterns but even if they are, broken beats are still interesting in comparison to the 4x4 kick drums that a lot of dance songs use. Not that i favour beats over other elements in a song.

but beats play a major role in pendulum and prodigy productions. (at least in the songs that were not published as singles)

Coma begins with "ever since I was born, I've been trained to serve you" and instead of beats they use two samples of footsteps.

Beats are very important to DnB but less so for Pendulum in tracks like Slam and Fasten Your Seatbelt. What makes Pendulum so special are those incredible basslines and melodic synths.
