If Ratty returns, is it HP/Rick/Axel?

(Subject is sort of self-explanitory)

I dont think Jay was involved with any of the original mixes, so that would mean Ratty consists of HP, Rick, and Axel???

Well at least Ratty Remix of Timeless was made with current three members. So I guess if Ratty would come back it is H.P., Rick and Jay. Would be nice to hear the old crew again though.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

I've had this dream of HP, Rick, Jay, AXEL, AND FERRIS all on stage, for like a fairwell concert, playing from the old to the middle to the new... It made me think of Ratty so I guess that's why I wrote this

I didnt know there was a remix, thanks

They shouldn't continue Ratty with this crew it's just not original Ratty sound anymore like Timeless remix has shown. Rick&Jay should better start new own project if they're able. Ratty project is dead since Axel left band...
And why do you talk about Ratty with H.P.? I'm pretty sure H.P. wasn't involved in any Ratty production, it was just Rick/Axel.

I thought about that myself, but Rick says HP influences tracks so I added him anyway...

I guess I should hear this remix first ey :D

I would also think that if Ratty returns it will be with Jay.

I really hope we do get another Ratty track one day, I just love Sunrise and Living On Video :)

I hope Ratty will return someday. And yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll be Jay on controls, but that's just good to me. :D

fairwell concert? I'd call that a nightmare! it seems to me like you were dreaming that Scooter were dissolving...

I think there won't be more of Ratty...all their instrumental wishes can be realized as B-sides. You don't need a special project for that...besides: Ratty was originaly created to get "Scooter" music played by non-commercial DJs. Now everyone knos who is behind Ratty

I would call a farewell concert a nightmare as well :( :(

Guess you are right about the original reason for creating Ratty - maybe a new project would not be such a bad idea

EDIT - just been reading this - obviously written before it was confirmed that Ratty = Scooter :)

It was a "project" by Scooter releasing under another name to try to get their music played by DJs who would not normally play Scooter - to be judged by the music, not the Scooter name.

Sunrise was the first single, with Nikk, Rick's wife doing the vocals 8)

Ratty appeared on TV as 3 people in Rats costumes, but it was not Scooter in the costumes, although Axels brother was one of the Rats in the costumes I believe.

They only released Sunrise and Living On Video as singles (Living on Video was only released on vinyl), although have since done a number of re-mixes for others, the most recent being Timeless - but that was 2 or 3 years ago now - since then nothing. :(

I think the first real confirmation from Scooter that they were Ratty was in Ramp - "Scooter are you Ratty?", but I may be wrong

On NTTC album there is a track called Expecting More From Ratty. :D
And a BTTHJ track Psycho mentions "inspired by those people like Ratty, we started riding on heavy horses". 8)

Edit: However those of course weren't direct confirmations.

and the B-side of She's The Sun - Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno)

EDIT - I almost forgot another link - the Ratty Sunrise / Space Cowboy vinyl release in 2000.

But No Time To Chill - with its reference to Ratty was released in 1998, 2 years before the first Ratty release, unless I'm mistaken - maybe they had the idea for a while before releasing - or maybe the name Ratty was adopted after, or because of, the reference in NTTC.

Although there's more than 1 Ratty out there :)

I'm pretty sure that the title of Expecting More From Ratty and those lyrics in Psycho were references to Axel rather than the project Ratty. I heard somewhere that Ratty was Axel's nickname at some point and both these tracks were out before the Ratty project was created. Roughly translated i think those Psycho lyrics literally mean, "When Axel joined the band we created Call Me Manana" or something of that ilk.
"In the pressure of the situation, I won't let my tongue get tied
A silent voice in the congregation, I refuse to live a lie"

Actually - now you mention it I seem to remember reading about Ratty being a name of Axel somewhere before - that could explain the reference 2 years before our Ratty appeared, and why they chose that name

Hey, cool! I've never heard that before! :D It does make sense. Thanks for the info.

Perhaps Axel didn't like sunrises either.
