Are we Brits the only ones that don't give two hoots about the Eurovision Song Contest and only really watch it to have a laugh at the really bad entries and Terry Wogan's cynical comments (if we can bothered put ourselves through the touture at all)? Is it really taken that seriously on the continent?

Eurosong is politically orientated, not so many countries vote for you, e.g. Scandinavian countries will give maximum points between them, so do the Mid-Euro countries, but UK always gets little from here and there. But I think yours song this year was very good compared with the past songs you had on Eurosong.

Most people in the UK recognise that it is very political - but at the same time, they don't particularly care. If anything Eurovision is just funny. A cheesey example of bad European music. Maybe that's not fair on all the entries but i agree that musically it largely sucks. I just find it strange that the rest of the continent actually take it quite seriously - that winning it shows your nation is the best musically.

. I think that it is the same with some other countries. The Fins wouldn´t have won, if anyone took the contest seriously. There song was too bad at all and their masks were bullshit!
