woah....this track is cool. I have listened to the radio version- and I'm surprised! In the beginning Axel uses some former "typical" Scooter sounds- bass and sirenes like in New Year's Day. In my opionion Axel was responsible of Scooter's club sound on BTTHJ and other albums.

For sure he brought fresh Club sound to Scooter. Rick said it also at a past interview. But i still like Lamenting City more then Third Base. At Aqualoop.de you can hear now a sample of SOLAR PATROL "DREAM MACHINE"... The AA SIDE of Third Base vinyl.

Although I disliked it in the beginning, I must say I like the track a lot now, much more than Lamenting city or his previous solo productions. The main melody is very catchy and it makes people move, I heard it in one club already.

And the fact that it's an own composition, makes it even better, the song sounds completely differently.

Me not because it would be for sure no own composition anymore and with a covered female chorus.

Maybe because vocal version wasn't finished yet. But a Radio edit is a little bit senseless at those bad times for Dance music in Germany. You can only release Maxi cds or videoclips furthermore if you are so big like Scooter. Record companies and tv stations, media... don't support CD Dance releases like in past anymore. So it's too expensive for labels and they can only release dance vinyls anymore or mp3 releases at download shops.

Mmm maybe but I don't mind. Though I like some dance stuff, I'm more a hardstyle/hardcore guy. But even though, it would be a shame if another electronic music thing would disapear... And even though, the same happend with hardcore and now it's bigger than ever! Dance guys, don't lose your faith! :D

Actually i had a feeling you would say something like that. To me own composition and covered female choruses are not important. Only sound matters! And in future a 100% own Scooter track is possible and we have had those. For example b-sides.

BTW; Close To You is a cover.

No. It's calm before the storm.

All music is getting more and more electronic influented. There's no reason why it should change in the future. And when it's influented enough, it will turn to the electronic music. And at the same time good old genres of EDM will rise. House (and dance as a part of it), trance, breakbeat, electro and maybe even hardcore, techno and drum'n'bass will get much higher status. Let's say we are pioneers

But before dance will get success, it must change. When it was popular in the past, there were different kind of tracks. Now dancemusic have been stuck for 5 years and only benassi-bass have made it to the mainstream after that. When producers will start to make something different again electronic music will rise.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack
