Review ARTB!

You know I always make my review of Singles/Albuns few weeks after the release (the true opinion comes when the songs are OLD, not NEW...When the songs are new all looks fresh!).

I allready have made my review about the Album. Now it's time for the single ARTB!.

Well, certainly NOT the best single that scooter ever made, but still good. It's good to listen, some things sound new. The F-X are cool, but we allready knew them from "Rock Bottom". Some things look different so that the single doesn't seem a copy of the album, because it's a single released AFTER the album. So it must be like that! (Not like "The night" - where album and single versions were allmost the same..). Don't get me wrong, I like The Night, but Album Version is allmost Single Version. I don't want that for a single released after the album.

The song itself is good, but not THAT good. Scooter can do better. Anyway, still deserves to be listened, for sure.

******** Nice Aspects:
- New Keyboard Playing in the End
- Like I Said, the music is different of Album Versions.
- Some effects come later, that's a good ideia. Like that "I Flick The Switch, 2000 Volts of Lyrical Tricks, Yeah! *Pah-Rah-Pah-Pah* "
In Album version, that *Pah-Rah-Pah-Pah* comes before the "Yeah!" of HP. It's not really a big change, but this little changes can MAKE a good song.
- Extended Mix & Dub Mix seem really professional.
- New Lyrics.
- That Robotized Vocalice "Rock Bottom!" in the chorus.
- The Idea of joining 2 songs. Scooter should do this more.
- The Frontcover.
- The Videoclip (One of the best!)

******** Not so Good Aspects: (Nothing is Bad with SCOOTER  )
- The Chorus could have a developed bassdrum line.
- The "Countdown" ideia is not bad, but for an extra. Not for a B-Side. This single should have a better B-Side.
- Well "Snippet" is not really called a track.

IN GENERAL:
The Single is Good. 82.5 / 100

Actually nice review. Though it doesn't match my opinion. But these 2 things bothers me. I don't think it's professional to make extended version which is just 1,5 banging in the beginning and after that ARTB (Radio Edit). It's more like lazyness. And to me it's not good idea to join 2 different tracks. Especially when they doesn't fit together. I never liked Rock Bottom or Apache, but Rock Bottom needs more poferful chorus to work. Apache is too soft for it.

Well these were just my own thoughts.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

WTF are you talking about?
extended = big shit
dub = boring with suavemente club mix samples!

only radio edit is only a little bit good
but this is not a hit like they had before
not powerfull!

i would give it a 6,5/10

That's normal of course. I also find good things in ARTB - the lyrics for example. But the concept is kinda boring for me.

I think the extended mix is the best one, but if the dub had had the two extra musical bits (the classical intro and the extra melody towards the end) it would've been better...
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

extended mix isn't the best one
it's boring in the beginning
radio edit is much better because it hasn't that boring start
dub mix could have been better i agree
