I think everyone has recognized that Scooter have made a lot of covers and songs according to a certain scheme since Nessaja. But we have never really talked about the reasons for Scooter's lack of creativity.
In my opinion Scooter have changed their way to create songs. In the past, especially in the first chapter they were inspired by bands and djs like ultrasonic, the klf and so on... inspired by the fun of experimentation and the techno feeling at the beginning of the 90s they started to create their own songs- I think they made experiments, examinated different techiques and sounds and did everything to make their songs perfect. They were also a bit more restless than today- after some tracks in the same style they felt that theyy had to do something new (f. e. "Break it up")- so they did what they liked and made the product as good as possible until they were fascinated by their own songs- the commercial success was more a kind of "byproduct" because people were also fascinated by scooter's songs. Then the second chapter came- and Scooter's big success decreased- even really good tracks like f##k the Millenium didn't reach the German Top10. I'm your pusher and She's the Sun were the lowest point in their discography. Further Scooter had always been ignored or hated by many important people and djs though they made good and creative tracks.
Then, with Nessaja, they found some kind of formula to be successful and produce easily: take an old chorus from another song, use a vocoder to have a cooler voice, use self-praising-rap-like-shouts to show all the haters that you are the winner ("I'm bigger and bolder.."/"Who's got the last laugh now"), put some piano parts or stolen sounds in it and the new chart hit is finished. So i think Scooter discovered a new way to produce: instead of experiments, enthusiasm and hard work until you have a good product they already decide about the style of a new single before they produce it and then they look for the different parts to create the song they have planned- they look for a chorus in old songs, they look for good sounds and keyboard melows in other techno sounds and last but not least Hp puts his vocals in the song. For a long time they had success with that way but now the songs in this fix scheme become boring: HP shouts during the whole bass parts, a stolen chorus, stolen keyboard melodies that sound the same and always the same construction of a track.
Another Scooter philosopher
Listen, if Scooter is boring for you it's best time to change your music inclination, don't you think?
You should know that Scooter ripped melodies always (in 1st chapter and in 2nd chapter), and many great melodies are created by them also (like in "Hello! (Good To Be Back)".
This is another negative called topic. You should call it "What do you think about Scooter creativity?".
Then my answer would be:
After 11 years I still can find on every new album something fresh, something new, something that kick my ass, something for what I started to listen Scooter in 1994.
So for me Scooter presents big creativity on every album.
Things like Starsplash, Jan Wayne, Groove Coverage - their music is lack of creativity for me.

as an objective and critical fan I have discovered some things that I (and other people also, that's why the success in Germany is decreasing at the moment) don't like and that could be dangerous for Scooter's status on the long run.

f##k Topic! I donīt know why you must open it. Every Topic where fans write about new songs etc. is contaminates with posts from "fans" who are always write that they donīt like Scooter.
Have you heared MTG or TSTE? If you say "Yes" I think you had something with your eares!? I donīt understand if you can they it isnīt creativ work. Would you say, that Stripped, All I wanna do, Jigga Jigga ect. sounds same? There are cool and fresh songs on it. The newest LPs from Scooter are more different in the sound than the first CDs. My meaning with the covering, if this is generelly the right word for that what Scooter do, is totally agreed with Scobom X and Dave f.S.! MR. Hyper write that it was cool, that Scooter are inspered by Ultrasonic and others and now it is S##t if they take some melodies of other tracks. If you think that all singles since Nessaja have the same style, so you also can say, that f##k the Millenium, Call me manane or How much is the Fish, have the same style. And if Scooter do something other for a single (like Shake that or Suavemente) the same guys are the first who are talking the songs bad. I also must laugh about the critic that Scooter always use self-praising lyrics. How many Scooter-Tracks do you know? Scooter always used it and self-ironic to play with the meaning of the critics of the Band. Just laugh about your topic and your post, MR Hyper!

i laugh about you, male groupie!
i LIKE the new songs, but it is fact that there was more diversity in the former tracks and the German people is recognizing that: Suavemente was only rank 22 Helo will be no top ten entry.
And I've never said that Scooter should change their style, the only thing I demand is more variety WITHIN the typical Scooter style, for example:
Move your ass and Hyper hyper where typical Scooter singles which were based on HP's shouts- the construction was nearly the same, but MYAss was faster and a bit harder.
Then Scooter had the feeling that they had to do something different and Friends was born: In contrast to Hyper hyper "Friends" wasn't based on HP shouts, no, it was based on melody, HP's shouts appeared only seldom. But that was not the only new element: instead of the typical construction "Shouting Part-Chorus-SPart-Chorus-"Hardcore Part (Yeah we want some posse/STand up!)-Chorus they had three main parts- the HPV chorus, the bass part ("we gonna make you harder nsk nsk nsk") AND the main melody")- on the whole we had a fresh, over 4-minute-long and surprising song. But nevertheless Scooter didn't change their characteristic features like the hard and fast beats, HP's shouts in general and great mellows that you can't get out of your ear. Then in Endless Summer they used the smae construction (3 main parts) but this time with more HP shouts (as a difference to "Friends") and that female "aaaaaaahhhh"-voice

sorry, i have to go on, have pushed the button too early.
Then, after two typical tracks un the classic style (back in the UK; Let me be your Valentine) HP started to sing (I'm raving/Rebel Yell/Break it up) and in the end of the fisrt chapter they even invented the "metal-techno" with fire. and in the second chapter they had those hymns like "How much is the fish" or "I'm your pusher", electro tracks "We are the greatest" and they even changed the sound of HP's voice: partly different vocoder vocals (f##k the millenium/remedy/acid bomb) and prtly clear voice (I'm your pusher").
But in the third chapter: always the same vocoder voice in each song except Stripped, always the same construction "Shouting Part- chorus-SP-C-"Hardcore Part" (like a shotgun../on world on people in da conference/straight between the eyes life without knowledge/hola una cerveza una cerveeeza/the only way to have a friend..)-chorus, a lot of ripped melodies, similar keyboard melodies in One and Hello, rows of similar tracks (at first Nessaja-Weekend-The Night then Maria-One-Hello).
I still like the new songs but they also create doubts inside me!

Let's say that "Hello! (Good To Be Back)" will enter German charts at #15-20.
And this is what you're calling "success decreasing"?
Blank & Jones new single "Revealed" enter German charts at #90. So this is what I can call "success decreasing". But who cares? I don't.

OK,Developer, for the sake of you leaving us alone, let's say,you converted us that music from 3rd chapter is S##t and I and the rest of the "fanatics" agree with you.
Now what? What is your course of action? What did you achieve by this?
You're going dancing on the ceiling? You gonna sing Halleluyah? What?
now what? nothing. i dont care

if you take a look at the recent positions- Nessaja No. 1, Weekend No. 2, THe night, Jigga Jigga- No 10, Shake That!-No 8, One- No 7 and Maria No 4, Suavemente and Hello are showing a decreasing success!

How many times did you have to repeat your vote in order to get the results you wanted?
Fanatics? You're an idiot. That's why you won't let this go at all? But of course, you're not the fanatic. Everyone who disagrees with you is right?
