Captain Jack ist gestorben

Der Popsänger Captain Jack ist tot. Er sei heute im Alter von 43 Jahren an den Folgen einer Hirnblutung gestorben, teilte seine Plattenfirma Thomann Records mit.

Burgebrach - Francisco Gutierrez alias Captain Jack feierte in diesem Jahr sein zehnjähriges Bühnenjubiläum und verkaufte mit Hits wie "Drill Instructor", "Soldier, Soldier" und "Captain Jack" fast 20 Millionen Tonträger. Erst vor kurzem hatte er mit "Capitano" eine neue Single veröffentlicht.

Der Sänger starb in einer Klinik im spanischen Palma. Vor ein paar Tagen brach er auf einer Party in zusammen und lag seither im Koma. Bereits vor drei Jahren hatte der gebürtige Kubaner einen schweren Schlaganfall erlitten.

Oh dear, that is very sad news, he was so young as well. :(

I admit, his songs were a little cheesy at times, but some are absolute classics!

Vor ein paar Wochen bin Captian Jack noch begegnet. Da war ich aufm Cannstatter Wasen und er kam direkt an mir vorbei gekaufen mit ner Menschentraube Bodyguards um ihn herum. Hatte wohl nen Auftritt in irgendeinem Bierzelt (sein Karriere war sicher nciht mehr aufm Höhepunkt)

A few weeks ago aii saw him on the funfair in Stuttgart. He had a show in a beer tent.

Ha collapsed at a party, and suffered something I recon as a stroke. He'd suffered a stroke some years ago too. He died at a Hospital in spanish Palma (wich is a city on Mallorca if I'm right).
