Ratty

I am confused. I have done my research on Ratty. But all I know is that Sunrise (Here I am) was their first release. However On No Time To Chill and on other Records (before Sunrise was released) they talk about Ratty. What did they mean then by ("inspired by those like ratty")??? What does Ratty even mean??? What is their obsession with "Ratty", and "The Ancients of MuMu"? What are "The Ancients of MuMu" (KLF???). Thanks in advance

yep... Ancient of MuMu is a reference to the KLF

Ratty, I think, was a name Axel used to go by... so when he joined Scooter, their first album with Axel was NTTC, so that's why they say "Expecting more from Ratty"

but I'm not sure... so I'd apprechiate if someone could confirm this :P

That's correct. Axel's nickname was Ratty. Thus the track "Expecting More From Ratty" on NTTC. This name was then used for the side project Ratty in 2000.

Acoording to some history facts, there were two civilizations long time ago, one that lived on Atlantis and second one that lived on continent called Mu.The K.L.F. named themselves Justified & Ancients of MuMu, because some stories say that Mu people were the first who started to create music with unusual machines that space gave to them(with other words, they made music with electricity).
This is probably not true(but who knows, we didn't live at this time). So because K.L.F. was making an electronic music, they used name Ancients of MuMu.
Scooter then just borrowed this name from them.

What are you saying guys? Ratty was Axels nickname?
I can remember that they said in an interview that they choose the name Ratty because of DJ Ratty they heard at early days of Scooter in England.

Honestly. That's what i read. Somewhere... Makes sense tho. Axel joins Scooter - NTTC = first album with Axel - Thus in 1998 we were "Expecting More From Ratty". Maybe it's wrong but that's what i read.

I never heard about Axel nickname. (Why they would expecting more only from Axel???).

Pitschifter said that he know about "Ratty" name from interview so I think he's right.

"Ratty" is markable Scooter word like "Wicked" and it's really cool.

Well, he'd done one album with Scooter and then we were "looking forward to" hearing more Scooter material with Axel. Because it was like a new era for the band i suppose.

I honestly don't know. But why does the name Ratty (in relation to Scooter) date further back than 2000 and the first we see of it is when Axel joins the group? That's the only thing that makes me believe that Ratty probably was a nickname (or old DJ name or something) of Axel.

As far as i know Axel's nick name was Ratty and like pjad says thats why the track "Expecting more from ratty" was put onto NTTC.

Ratty was then used as the name of the scooter side project later on

Axel? The only alias Axel used before Scooter was DJ Lacoon.

so Ratty, Ancient Of Mumu, Fragrance, 3AM, Axel Coon etc. were all used as aliases after he joined up with scooter? unlikely.
