its kinda strange and a lit of bit evil for me that h.p lyrics are only of him and all the text is only about him :(

Not all of them. What about " The Rick, the Ferris and MC H.P....... "

Doesn´t H.P write the lyrics? or?

Yes, but his lyrics are very childish and stupid, and everybody can write better lyrics than H.P....

I can say that only about last releases (except The Chaser) ! H.P. became lazy. Now he writes simple phrases, lost rhyme. he doesnt change voice intonation and pronouncement. i talk only about last stupid releases

Well..first of all.. I know that Scooter are 3 members!!! I know that Rick and Jay do the most of the music. And I think H.P writes most of the lyrics by himself...I don´t know. I think it takes a lot of intelligens to do such a stupid lyrics! :D The lyrics are cool and the songs are the best party-songs in the world!

I think you can't say: he is the best or he is the best. Scooter is a group..They are 3 and all of them are part of scooter

Really many people think that Scooter is only HP, I've heard one girl talking about Scooter and she thought that Scooter is HP and one guy sitting next to me in a bar once said to his friend that he doesn't like music that 'crazy blond guy' produces...Of course I couldn't stay silent.

Otherwise, Rick is great guy, music part is mostly done by him, but it's always the frontman that 'represents' the group.Maybe not for real fans, but for most of other people that don't know Scooter very well and just hear it from time to time - they hear HP and he is 'main' for them. But HP is a great frontman and performer, I must say that.

About lyrics, I'm also looking forward to some changes, One and Suave is singing about HP (I do this...I do that...I am that...I have that...)I hope that I will not be the most common world.

I'm sure both Rick and Jay understand that they are the "behind-the-scenes" guys and H.P. is mainly the face of the group. Obviously, they don't have a problem with it or the group would have dissingrated years ago.

Developer, stupid or not, the group would be nothing without H.P. It's his lyrics that make the songs.

It's funny you should say that because i've often thought about that.... Obviously, if H.P. left the group would totally change in nature. H.P's lyrics are a big part of the band, especially their image.

But i just wonder... If H.P. did ever pack it all in i think Rick and Jay (or whoever the 3rd member is) could quite happily continue as a duo with the name Scooter ... creating instrumentals or tracks with vocoded/digital voices. Unlikely i know but if i were Rick i would seriously think about it.

True although their success would fall because most of Scooter fans(we on forum just represent small part of all) is crazy mostly about HP, his voice, his lyrics....

There is a slovenian dance music site where I'm registered too and most of people when going to a Scooter concert are looking forward to see HP and HP and HP and HP is always in the centre of attention.

Not that I have anything against him, but sometimes he looks a bit selfish to me....

Yeah, they're popularity would go down. But if Rick and Jay were to continue i would like to think they were choosing to continue because they love making music and they want to carry on releasing top track for the fans... and not just to carry on building personal popularity or the popularity of the Scooter brand.

And although you are right that Scooter's unique popularity is based upon the image and style of H.P (and Scooter fans love H.P.) i still believe that he is probably the main reason for all the haterz too. H.P's rather tougue-in-cheek approach to lyrics are, for many haterz, a symbol of Scooter's commercial nature and, for other dance fans, his lyrics just ruin good dance music....

So who knows, with H.P. gone maybe many haterz out there would discover a side to Scooter they actually like and have never had the opportunity to experience as all singles contain H.P.

I'm not saying Scooter would be better without H.P, far from it, but i think there might be some advantages for Scooter in not having H.P, at least for a short time.

I learnt to like Scooter with Rick, HP and Ferris, then Axel came and I started calling them my favourite band, then he was exchanged with Jay and now I love their music and what they do. I don't think Scooter for me will ever be the same without one or another of the current members. That's why statements like

make me upset or annoyed in a way. Scooter produce tracks without HP today too, which we fans learn to love and cherish, but it is the songs WITH the lyrics that become the big hits, not the instrumental ones. ;)

I think you are wrong with the "No H.P" attitude.
Remember they did try without HP lyrics as Ratty, and they had their success, yet anyway when DJs discovered it was Scooter, they broke the vinyls into pieces.
So, excluding HP from the group is not what will make Scooter better.
Remember it's Rick and HP all the way since Celebrate the Nun times,it's HP who contacted with Rick about the Scooter project in the beginning.
As fas as lyrics concerned,I never care too much about any lirycs of any band, mainly if I like a band or a singer it's because of the music, the lyrics are on a second level for me,anyway all the themes of the lyrics are not too different from each other,so I don't search lyrics that talk to me in a way that they must represent my mood or something, for me it's about the music.
There was Blumchen that I liked, and she sang in German, also there was this Modo in the 90s with Ein Zwei...something,and in Israel it was big hit and I dont think anyone understood the lyrics of it because they were also in German.

Why should my statement upset you, lisstuppa. It's only my opinion. :?

Anyway. I think some people are misunderstanding what i'm saying.

Obviously, a big part of Scooter is H.P. If H.P had never been part of the band Scooter wouldn't be what they are today. They'd be something totally different. BUT... just imagine. H.P. said tomorrow, "No, i've had enough. I'm too old. I'm leaving." Would you want Scooter to just end!? I would argue that although it would be very sad too see H.P go, it would be even more sad to see great producers like Rick and Jay stop producing. To see the Scooter name die. So i would want Rick and Jay to continue without H.P as a duo... or get a new producer in and be an intrumental making trio called Scooter.

And i still think there would be some advantages for the band without H.P. I'm not saying it would be more advantagous to not have H.P. in the band but still some new doors would open for the name "Scooter".

I don't think many of you realise just how much H.P effects the haterz view on Scooter. A lot of people out there think H.P is a lunatic. I don't think he is, obviously, but a lot of people do think he's genuninely mad. Many argue that he ruins the music. I don't think he does but many people out there are genuinely put off Scooter because of H.P. Now, with H.P not in the band all Scooter singles would become instrumentals. (I know this would be odd for us Scooter fans at first, but it's better than no Scooter at all...) So now many haterz would start enjoying Scooter as they wouldn't hear H.P on the tracks anymore. You would get hundreds and hundreds of Scooter haterz suddenly saying "Just a minute this Scooter are actually quite good." You would be able to get more people to respect Scooter... I know many of you might say, "Oh, but why don't the haterz just get the albums and listen to the instrumentals... H.P doesn't have to leave for that to happen." But people reject Scooter and their albums straight away because they don't think such instrumentals exist. They only hear the singles on T.V and radio.

I understand many people may argue strongly against my views as they just can't accept Scooter without H.P. or Rick. I can see the argument for saying that without Rick and H.P together you can't have Scooter. But how many people would have said the same things about Ferris before he left? As much as i'd rather see H.P stay in Scooter forever (and believe me i do) IF he did leave i think Scooter (or at the very very least Ratty) could survive on. We'd have to keep the spirit alive afterall.

I hope that makes my opinion a little clearer. :)

In my opinion Rick and H.P. are both integral and necessary parts of Scooter.

I have no doubt Rick or H.P. could make successful careers seperately, but I think Scooter needs them both to be Scooter :)

But why the tak of a split - Rick and H.P. obviously work very well and successfully together, they have been successful together for many years :D

Honestly, I can 100% see why many fans would say that. And i agree that the Rick-H.P. partnership is very very important.

But if Scooter anounced tomorrow that Scooter were ending, i would be very disappointed ( )... and then the day after that they announced that Rick and Jay were going to continue under the name Scooter (or Ratty) for a few years i would be absolutely delighted (:D ), even if it meant losing H.P.

Why talk of a split? - Well, as horrible as it sounds, it will happen one day. All good things come to an end.

You could think that Jay's DJing and HP's media business could mean that they try to establish their own name for the "After-Scooter Life"

It`s obviously that Rick and H.P. need each other, but as for me Rick is always was the main. Many people like more music than shouts(the same shouts) of H.P. But withot H.P. Scooter would never has such popularity.
